Peacock network is offering viewers the new spin-off of Below Deck titled Down Under. The new show is based in Australia this time and it premiered on 18 March 2022. And like always, viewers are excited to learn about the crew line-up who are set to sail around Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.
Meet Jason Chambers, captain for the series and the youngest captain on the franchise yet. Hailing from Australia, his decades’ worth of experience will come in handy to get through a turbulent time to stir the boat as well as his other crew members. He is linked with crews of Below Deck Mediterranean so he is very familiar with all the challenges of being on a TV show.
Joining him in the cruise are chief stew Aesha Scott, chef Ryan McKeown, second stew Tumi Mhlongo, third stew Magda Ziomek, bosun Jamie Sayed, deckhand Culver Bradbury, female deckhand Brittni Burton, and Ben Crawley, the final member of the deck team.

Speaking about the process of joining the show, Jason spoke with and shared Decider, “She was probably the one that made me sign on to do this show”. He added, “You’re a great fit for it. Just be yourself and just go and have fun.”
Whereas Jason told OK Magazine, “To be honest with you, there was hesitation leading up to it. But after the first one or two phone calls I had, I was starting to get more upset if they didn’t accept me.”

According to Starcasm, Jason was the captain of a 45.6-meter superyacht Moatize which crashed into a Queensland marina in 2019, narrowly missing a restaurant trawler. The video went viral and he spoke with an Australian news outlet explaining the incident.
