Dan Byrd And His Wife, Lauren Smith’s Relationship
Lauren Smith and Dan Byrd tied the knots sometime in 2016; they were married by 25 October 2016.
The seemingly private ceremony took place in Los Olivos in California.
The couple had their wedding registered on registry.theknot.com on 24 September 2016. And until 3 October 2016, they were still only engaged.
Lately, i.e. in mid-October 2021, Lauren’s partner Dan made news when preparing to leave their long-time nest tucked into L.A.’s historic Hollywood Dell neighborhood.
So, as it happens, Dan had listed “The Treehouse” with Max Shapiro of Westside Estate Agency, at a sliver under $1.2 million, almost twice the $634,000 Byrd ponied up for the property in 2010.
With that being said, the couple did not have any kids as of the time of this writing.
Dan, as a bi-coastal actor, began acting as a child and landed a supporting role as a teenager in the Lifetime series Any Day Now and eventually flitted across the small screen in the shows like Scandal, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and the short-lived 2020 sci-fi series Utopia.
He appeared in Home Before Dark and Young Sheldon in 2021 and now he awaits his upcoming project: Jay-Z executive produced limited series Women of the Movement.
Back when Dan played Courteney Cox’s son Travis Cobb, he was kind of linked with his co-star Busy Philipps as Laurie Keller. It was 2012 and Busy Philips was happily married and expecting her second child with screenwriter husband Marc Silverstein. And still, the two co-stars’ sharing a friendly kiss and walking alongside some beach boardwalk hand in hand, was anticipated as a possible romance.

Dan and Jeff came up with the concept. Jeff alone took charge of the malt beverage and finances, Dan was all about the aesthetic — lighting, design elements, bar stools, and fabrics, and Rachel of course was instrumental in getting the licensing and paperwork needed and overseeing construction with the contractors and architects.
This way, each having their role to fill in, Lauren and the Byrds already have an awesome group of regulars.
Even before Two Birds, Lauren had been opening and operating restaurants for several years. She comes with more than 17 years of experience in the hospitality business.
Lauren and her husband of about five years have also long maintained a bolt hole in Brooklyn.
