Sean Parnell And His Wife Laurie Snell’s Relationship
According to the testimony given by Laurie Snell, she and her husband Sean Parnell started dating each other in 2008. However, his disturbing and abusive behavior started only a few months after they began dating each other. According to her testimony, such abusive behavior lasted for 10 years until they got separated.
The physical and emotional abuse got worse and worse as the years passed.
According to the reports of “Philadelphia Inquirer”, Sean once pinned down Laurie and called her a ‘wh*re’ and a ‘piece of s***.’ Other abusive claims also included him punching a closet door so hard it swung into a child’s face. The force of the door slamming bruised the face and afterward, he said to the child that it was the child’s fault.
Regarding the alleged incident that left a welt on one of their children, Sean said a photo of a child who bruised back submitted as evidence was not of his son. He also denied the allegation about slamming the door hard. He testified that his wife’s version was “made up” and in fact, he consoled him and apologized.
Sean claimed, “Laurie wasn’t even there.”
Back in 2008 on a Thanksgiving trip, Sean had allegedly pulled over on the side of the highway and forced her out of the vehicle. He then told her to ‘go get an abortion.’ Meanwhile, his website states that he was against abortion and “will always vote to protect the unborn.”
Sean’s estranged wife, Laurie also added he started hitting his kids in 2018 and that was the limit that he crossed which strangled the reasons to be with him. Sean and Laurie are parents to three kids 8, 11, and 12. Other abusive behavior also included him choking Laurie and didn’t let go until she bit him to escape.
For the safety of the children, Laurie seeks custody of her children even though they were awarded joint custody. Kristen Batson Eberle, attorney of Sean revealed to Inquirer that Laurie’s previous filings in the custody case made no mention of abuse, “no allegations whatsoever” of violence, and “not one allegation of a safety concern for the children.”
Laurie further added that two allegations of violence against the children were included in Laurie’s request for a protective order in 2018, which was denied by a judge.
Laurie received two temporary protection orders against her husband; in 2017 and 2018. On the other hand, Sean also sought a temporary protection order against Snell in 2018 but was denied.
