YouTuber Melanie Ham has died on 12 January 2022 at the age of 36 as confirmed by her husband, Robert Ham.
Robert went on her Instagram and wrote a lengthy post addressing their followers. He wrote, ” If you’ve been following our journey I’m sure you were, like us, hopeful she could defeat this insidious disease. Over the past few months things have been progressively getting worse and we’re thankful that we made it to this point through the holidays and tried to make every moment count.”
Robert and Melanie were 9 days short of celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary.
He added further, “My family, our doctors, our nurses, and especially Melanie fought until the end and did all we could do to avoid today, but that is not our path.”
Robert urged everyone to share photos, memories, and projects of Melanie which served as an inspiration to them. He added that she will be able to walk, sing, and dance in a way her body did not allow over the last few months. He thanked everyone for the gifts, messages, and prayers.
On their 15th wedding anniversary, Robert had updated, “Celebrating 15 years today. We are partying it up at treatment flowed by some dinner we’ll eat in the car… lol. We got another good scan result (more shrinking, no new tumors) so it’s a great day! Love you more than the day we got married, @hammrproductions.”
Melanie began sharing her health struggles in January 2019. In December 2018, she had revealed that her doctor had found a mass in her kidney. Later in 2020, she was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma called an epithelioid angiomyolipoma.
