Fritz had auditioned in Austin and sang “Before You Go” by Lewis Capaldi. Despite Luke voting “no”, Lionel and Katy had given him “yes”, sending him to the next round.
During Hollywood Round, he sang “Unsteady” by X Ambassadors; a duet on “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars with Leah Marlene; solo performed an original song called “Inconsequential Love”. Judges told him that he did enough to make the Top 24.
For the Top 24 competition, he sang “Waves” by Dean Lewis and received enough votes to advance to the Top 20, and the rest is history.
