Meet Sarah Mattox, Street Outlaws Larry “Axman” Roach Spouse
Sarah Mattox, wife of Street Outlaws Larry “Axman” Roach is one of his biggest supporters. They dated each other for an undisclosed period. On New Year’s Day 2016, Larry proposed to Sarah. Seven months later in July, they became husband and wife and started their life together.
Before their marriage, they welcomed a son together named Nitro Roach who is currently 8 years old. Then they welcomed another son named Cameron Hogan who is currently 5 years old and their youngest daughter Nova Roach who is currently 3. They are also parents to a son named Ryder Garrett who is likely from Sarah’s previous relationship.
Everyone who is a fan of Street Outlaws is familiar with Larry. Inspired by his cousins, he started racing and working on cars and eventually built his own 1972 Nova. He explained to Dragzine, “Growing up, I had a couple of cousins that were about seven years older than me – I was around seven or eight and they were sixteen – and just watching them play with their cars on the street, it kinda got me, wanting to outrun them. I think that’s where I got the fever from.”
Larry almost quit racing because the engines of his cars would blow up after every one or two races. But, his wife inspired him to continue racing because it was his passion. No Prep Kings came into his town which was just two hours away from his house. There were only two spots left to be filled and he signed up for it and had to compete against nearly 50 racers. However, on the race day, only a few people showed up including him, raced it, and secured the spot.

Sarah Mattox had briefly worked with her father’s family restaurant in Altavista, Virginia. The restaurant was owned by her father Michael Matt Mattox. In April 2016, she also incorporated a company named C-N-R’s Pro Stop, LLC. The company was classified under the General.
According to LinkedIn, Sarah worked in Day Care in Altavista Area YMCA from 2002 to 2009. From 2009 to 2014, she worked at Campbell County School District as a teacher. Sarah, on the other hand, is crucial to Larry’s drag racing business. Larry boasted that his wife is in charge of his racing program. While he is on his phone attempting to run the business alongside racing, she keeps it all together by loading, strapping, and packing the car.
“She’s packing the luggage, food, making sure I’m on time, everything. And then it’s usually just me and her at the track. I probably couldn’t do it without Sarah. She does a lot more than people see, a lot more.”
Sarah is a drag racing enthusiast who competes in the sport. Their children are following in their footsteps. They compete by giving each other names. Larry’s greatest experience was seeing his children walk alongside the celebrities he used to see on TV.

Sarah Mattox is the daughter of Michael and Denise Ferris Mattox. Her parents tied the knots on 20 April 1985. They are still together as of this writing. Sarah also has a sister named Emily.
Michael owned a family restaurant in Virginia. Her mother is a 1982 graduate of Altavista High School and earned her Associate’s Degree in Central Virginia Community College in 1984. She has been working as an Administrative Assistant at PCM Industrial Services, Inc. since January 2019.
Michael’s parents are Ramsey “Dude” Mattox and Elva Dalton Mattox. Born on 19 December 1935, Ramsey was the son of the late Ernest Carson Mattox, Sr., and Virgie Farmer Mattox. He was an Army veteran and member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He owned Dude’s Drive-In in Altavista and the second one in Gretna.
Ramey stayed married to his wife for 34 years until his death on 18 April 2020 at the age of 84.
Michael also has one sister named Elizabeth “Beth” Browning and her husband is husband, Jon of Gretna. His brother is Gary R. Mattox and who is married to his wife Victoria of Altavista.
