Recalling those times, Leylah has shared that her mother’s absence affected her deeply. From the age of 10 to 13, she said, every time she saw her mother it was like seeing a stranger but at the same time someone so familiar. But also, this very separation motivated Leylah to work harder.
Things luckily have been better with time. So, lately, on Mother’s Day, Leylah took to her Instagram to praise her mother’s strength, positivity, and heart that leave her kids inspired every day.
