In real life though, Brianne seemingly had a very fortunate upbringing unlike that of her character. She most likely has a loving and supportive pair of people as her parents growing up. By the look of pictures posted on social media, Brianne Howey appears to have a very good relationship with her father now. It is not known though what it was like growing up. It’s been reported by several news portals that Brianne was raised in Pasadena, California, by her young and single mother. Also, Brianne has admitted to having taken inspiration from her mother for her role as Georgia in Ginny & Georgia.
Speaking of now, Donald has a lovely wife by his side. She is Hong Tran Howey and she is Brianne’s stepmother. With Brianne, she has an amicable relationship it seems. One could look her up on ‘Hong Tran Howey’ Facebook.

Brianne Howey’s mother Mary C Braun, AKA Colleen Braun Behrman, is no more. She passed on 5 January 2011. She then, the family set her Facebook to ‘Colleen Braun Behrman Memorial’ and on its, BIO has been written: “In lieu of flowers please donate to The Colleen Braun Behrman Memorial Fund at http://colleenbrau”.
Anyway, it appears that the late Mary or Colleen was never married to her daughter Brianne’s dad. At the time of her passing, she was still married to Michael Behrman, of Charlotte, North Carolina. With him at that point, she also had a four-year-old son named Daniel. The widowed Michael turned 57 years old in August 2022.
Meanwhile, with Donald, Brianne’s mom also gave birth to her sister Cailan. Now LA-based Cailan Howey (on IG @cailanmarie) was 16 and a junior at LCHS when her mom succumbed to pneumonia in 2011 in La Canada. Colleen was undergoing successful treatment for cancer but got unfortunate anyway.
Other possible siblings of Brianne are Ryan (married to Valerie), Cali (married to Ryan), Preston, and Morgan.

In 2005, Brianne’s mom Colleen is said to have moved to North Carolina with her family and had her third child at the time. Also, she was at the time active in fundraising for local education.

Later, she returned home to La Canada and founded Novydia, where she directed software projects at major corporations including The Walt Disney Company.
