Leslie Boyd is Paul Beban’s loving wife. The journalist said that everything made sense when Leslie was around. And thankfully, she was always around.
The couple have been together for over a decade now (as of 2023). This means, Leslie was with Paul even before he joined ABC News or Al Jazeera Media Network. Also, this means, she was with him when he who Emmys for his undercover reporting on human trafficking in South Africa and the changing economy of India.
But this isn’t Paul’s only feat, the journalist has investigated WWII plane crashes in Greenland, violence in Venezuela, and chased Somali pirates on an Italian warship in the Indian Ocean. He has documented what it’s like living in a massive dump in Manila and the health hazards of being a transsexual prostitute in India.
Paul even had the chance to interview Christo about his plan to drape a Colorado river in a tunnel of flowing blue fabric and spent a couple of days with a New York photographer who took two sets of portraits — 25 years apart — of every single person living in the new home he’d made in the small town of Oxford, Iowa.
Overall, as a television correspondent, anchor, writer, and producer, he has done features, investigations, and documentaries all over the United States and around the world.
In 2023, he’s also a part of History Channel’s Beyond Skinwalker Ranch where he investigated the paranormal phenoms beyond the borders of the ranch. This was the first time History Channel decided to expand its search for answers.

As a gynecologic oncologist, Leslie also treated women with ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and cervical cancer at Perlmutter Cancer Center. “I primarily treat women with malignancies of the reproductive tract. So that includes ovarian cancer, de metro cancer, and cervical cancer,” she said.
Besides Perlmutter, Leslie offered her services in multiple hospitals in the area, including NYU Langone Hospitals and NYC Health and Hospitals-Bellevue.
Recalling the time when she first decided to be a doctor, she said, “In truth, my mom put the idea in my head; she thought it would be a great way to use my curiosity and love for science and help others at the same time.”
It turns out, her mother was right. Now, she loves being a practicing gynecologic oncologist. I enjoy the rigors of surgery. I am energized every time I walk into the operating room. But it’s my patients and their families who keep me engaged year after year. I am grateful for the opportunity to build long-term relationships with my patients.” she added.
Her research interests involved investigating best practices and outcomes in gynecologic surgery, identifying disparities in care for patients with gynecologic cancer, and investigating novel chemotherapy options for gynecologic cancers.
As for her education, Leslie received her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine.
