Producer Kevin Turen, who produced films and television shows like The Idol and Euphoria for HBO, passed away at the age of 44, leaving behind his wife Evelina Turen. The couple reportedly married on 2 July 2012. However, they never further details about how and when their path crossed with each other for the first time.
Evelina hasn’t yet issued a statement confirming her husband’s passing. Rather, Kevin’s father conveyed the tragic news of his son’s passing. “Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him,” Edward, Kevin’s father, told Deadline after confirming the information.
One of Kevin’s friends referred to the producer as one of Hollywood’s “brightest stars” following his unexpected death. “Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends,” he said. He was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensured they make a difference in the broader world.”

Kevin produced Ti West’s critically acclaimed horror flicks X and Pearl and Pieces of a Woman, which earned Vanessa Kirby an Academy Award nod for Best Actress, in addition to the popular HBO series Euphoria. In addition, he served as an executive producer for the television program The Idol, which starred Lily-Rose Depp and Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd. He produced a number of feature films, including Operation Endgame, which was written by Sam Levinson, the man behind Euphoria.
Other credits for Kevnin include the Richard Gere film Arbitrage, the Robert Redford film All Is Lost, and two more Levinson films, Assassination Nation and Malcolm & Marie. He most recently contributed to Euphoria and The Idol, as well as the Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
