Shawn Booth, best known for his Bachelorette stint where he won Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart on the ABC show, has welcomed a baby with Audrey Dre Joseph.
“Baby Booth arrived yesterday and is healthy & perfect. Mom is an absolute rockstar & did incredible! Everything went super smooth and we couldn’t be more grateful. Best feeling in the world,” Shawn wrote.
In July 2023, the former reality star shocked the fans of his podcast, “In the Booth With Shawn Booth,” by revealing Joseph was expecting a child.
“It’s happening,” Booth said. “I’m gonna be a father. … This is a big surprise for both of us. [To be] open and honest, this wasn’t something that was planned. But it will be and is the most beautiful surprise I’ve ever had in my life. And it’s gonna be very special. I can’t wait. I’m ready. I’m 37 years old. I’ve always wanted to be a dad.”
The nature of their relationship remained silent, with Booth referring to the photographer as his “baby mama.”
But, PageSix brought to light that Shawn has been close to Audrey for years. “We’ve had a relationship and we’ve dated. This just isn’t some random girl I met at Honky Tonk Central,” Shawn added.
Additionally, he disclosed on the program that the pregnancy was unplanned.
“This is a big surprise for both of us. [To be] open and honest, this wasn’t something that was planned,” Shawn added. “But it will be and is the most beautiful surprise I’ve ever had in my life. And it’s gonna be very special. I can’t wait. I’m ready. I’m 37 years old. I’ve always wanted to be a dad.”
The personal trainer talked about how difficult it was for him and his girlfriend to hide their pregnancy in Nashville as it’s a “small town” and “people talk.”
Additionally, Shawn described the mother of his unborn kid as a “rock star” for going through this “overwhelming” process, even if she remained anonymous. “She’s going to be such a good mother. And it’s going to be incredible,” he told listeners. “She’s been an absolute champ, a rock star through it all.”
On July 24, 2023, Audrey, who was 19 weeks along with their first child, was presented to Shawn’s “In the Booth With Shawn Booth” audience. Shawn shared her worries about the birth room in case Joseph goes into labor during their open discussion about her pregnancy.
“It does not matter if he’s at the head. I’m 5’2”. You’ve seen me in a lot of positions, buddy,” Audrey said on the podcast after Booth admitted that he thinks he’ll be squeamish at the hospital. “You’re 6’2”. So you think standing over me laying down, knees up, you’re not going to be able to see what’s going right here?”
