With each contestant getting eliminated every round, the last one to survive the competition wins the title as well as a hefty cash prize. Crystelle Pereira On The Great British Bake Off (GBBO)
Crystelle Pereira developed her love and passion for baking at a young age–reportedly when her mom made her the ‘chief taster’ in the kitchen while preparing meals. However, it’s only been 3 years since she started taking baking seriously.
“90 percent chaos, 10 percent attempting to bake.” This is how Crystelle describes herself in her Instagram bio. However, the works she uploads on her Instagram handle tell a different story altogether. All her cake pops are neat and so are her chocolate and peanut butter cake.
Crystelle infuses her bakes with spices from all over the places she has visited. We are yet to see what she brings to the table in The Great British Bake Off Season 12.
While the worldwide lockdown imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic was not great overall, Crystelle used her free time to excel in baking, and now she is ready than ever to compete in GBBO Season 12.
Crystelle announced her participation in GBBO Season 12 through an Instagram post on September 14, 2021. She wrote, “Some will say it’s photoshop. Mum says I should work on my posture. The truth is I’m GOING ON THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF!!! See you next Tuesday on Channel 4 (if you don’t know me, you might want to turn down your volume).”
Crystelle Pereira Ethnicity, Family
Crystelle Pereira was born and raised in Northwest London. However, her ethnicity is mixed as her parents are from Kenya and Portuguese-Goan.
To talk about her family, we only know a little about her dad, Derrick Pereira. Derrick is Head of Testing Practice UK at Prolifics Testing and has been working there since July 1999. Before working at Prolifics Testing, Derrick was a Test Manager at KPMG and a Systems Manager at BZW. He has also worked as a Technical Support Analyst at PSDI in the past.
Furthermore, Crystelle’s dad also runs his charity, Help A Poor Child, with the help of his kids including Crystelle.
