As the youngest contestant to join the show, Makensy Manbeck is one of the 16 houseguests on Big Brother 26. The season promises a cut-throat competition but each contestant aims to win a $750K grand prize. She plans to use that athleticism combined with her smarts to be the final contestant.
“I think I’ll win Big Brother just because I think I’m a triple threat: socially, mentally, physically, I’ve kind of got all three,” she said on her preseason video. “Vainly, I could say that I’d be the one to watch this summer because I like how I look and I hope other people do, too,” She added.
“Non-conceitedly, I would also say though that I think I’m a good person to watch, because I am nice, I’m going to say I’m funny — I think I’m hilarious — and three, I think I’m going to give a good game. I think I’m really going to be fun to watch and strategize and I think people will probably see some unexpected things from me.”
The premiere showed the entry of Makensy and the other seven contestants. They voted to bring in the house’s seventeenth member Ainsley. However, it was revealed that Ainsley was the BB AI and not a cast member. Makensy was one of the four houseguests who voted “yes” and was allowed to earn an advantage by winning the next challenge called Color Calibration. She won the challenge earning herself a game upgrade.

Makensy Manbeck is working as a project engineer working at The Dinerstein Companies. She has been working in that role since March 2024. Before that, she was working at Allen Harrison Company. First, she landed the job in May 2022 as a project engineer intern and started working as a project engineer in August 2024 until she resigned from the company in March 2024.
During her collegiate and high school years, Makensy was an excellent volleyball player growing up in Houston. A three-year letter-winner at Friendswood High School, Makensy Manbeck is a 6-1 middle blocker from Friendswood, Texas. She finished her career with 834 kills, 216 blocks, 155 digs, and 56 aces, hitting 391. Manbeck was selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Team, the Texas Association of Volleyball Coaches All-State Team, and the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State Team.
Makensy also won the offensive MVP award for both the team and the district. She was on the AGH second team, the All-Vype second team, and the first team in All-Galveston County. Manbeck received academic all-district accolades in addition to being selected as a Houston Chronicle Girls Athlete of the Week.
The 6-foot-1 middle blocker finished his senior year with 474 kills and 127 blocks. Her performance was sufficient to secure her a scholarship to play volleyball at Houston Baptist University; however, the pandemic caused the 2020 NCAA volleyball season to be rescheduled till the spring of 2021. She transferred to Texas A&M in 2023 after two years without playing a game for Houston Baptist, where she earned an engineering degree.
