“I haven’t found someone who protects my heart the way they protect their own,” she shared. Since honesty and communication were lacking in previous relationships, Ashley went through the phone of one of her ex-partners. She wants to entrust her heart to a faith-driven guy who calms her fears and enjoys her subtle sense of humor, but she’s tired of playing games with love.
“The key to my heart is being able to be soft with a man who I can trust with my heart,” she says. And that might be the clincher if he wouldn’t mind occasionally accompanying her on a HomeGoods run.

“Tyler was number one on my little checklist from Day 1 just because he came in super authentic and vulnerable,” Ashley told the entertainment news outlet. “I think when I really knew is when I started missing him to the point it hurt and I’m in the pods or in the lounge and I’m like, ‘Bro I got five more dates — I don’t care about any of these people.’ Great people, great conversation, but I wanted to get in there with him.”
In the end, the pair looked for a way to support one another during their time apart.
“We switched each other’s blankets and sprayed our scents on them just so we could have a piece of each other,” Ashley revealed to BOSSIP. “I was like balling it up so that the girls couldn’t see the name on it, because I started getting a little minor jealousy, even though I knew it was part of the process. I’m like knowing certain people are going in there with him and I’m sending you know my potential man off to someone else. So I think it was around the time where I started to deeply feel that, I was like, ‘Wow I could marry this guy.’”
There’s a scene in the pods where Tyler tells Ashley he got angry when one of the other males touched “his wife’s blanket,” despite Francis telling BOSSIP he tried not to become jealous. In the end, he said he never lost hope that what was meant for him was indeed meant for him.
Ashley compared dating in her 30s to “tucking through the clearance rack, trying to find a hidden gem” in the pods. Here’s the twist: Ashley comes out of the pods with a real ring on her finger. We’ll simply cross our fingers that this love is meant to endure while we wait for Episodes 7-9 to air on October 9.
