Abigail Nepaul is one of the stars of Durban’s The Mommy Club SS. A reality show called The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice follows wealthy women who are a part of the Indian community in Durban.
Abigail Nepaul, Asharia Parsad, Christina Devraj, Devina Knowles, Kim Jones, Lenore, Neetasha, and twins Losh and Resh Naidoo (45) are featured in the first spinoff from the wildly popular Showmax Original, The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice.
Zinzi explains The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice‘s casting procedure, “Mommy Club casting is a lengthy process that takes months. We look for mommies who have a desire to be on the show and are already actively living the mommy club life. We always tell potential cast members, that if it doesn’t seem like it’s for you, then it’s probably not for you. For the Sugar and Spice mommies, we wanted a diverse group of Durban Indian mommies that would offer the show a unique feel, standing out from the Johannesburg version.”
In July 2024, Abigail extended her gratitude to the show creators for inviting her to be a part of it.

Abigail Nepaul Husband
Abigail Nepaul is married to her husband Anand-Nepaul Goolabjith whose paternal ancestry was from Bihar in North India. They have been happily married since 2011.
Anand is self-employed as an attorney. In 2020, he made a headline after his former client alleged misconduct during the conveyancing of a property transaction worth R8 million. When Hamlall Ramnanan, a previous client, approached the lawyer in September 2014 to act as the conveyancer in the acquisition, sale, and transfer of an office block valued at R8 million, the lawyer was reported to the LPC.
In his LPC complaint, Ramnanan alleged that Nepaul acted negligently by paying R4m to the seller, Interactive Trading, and its beneficiaries with money that was placed in a trust with Nepaul as per a sale and purchase agreement.
The married couple shares two daughters Azuri and Careira, aged eight and six. She has previously discussed her time being pregnant with both of her daughters.
“About 2 years ago I was pregnant with Careira and suffering with a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum, also known as extreme nausea. I was pregnant with Azuri before Careira so was familiar with the notion of morning sickness or nausea but what was to come was more horrifying than I could ever imagine or prepare myself for,” Abigail told CrazyRio.
Abigal shared that she and Anand didn’t plan their second child. Her pregnancy with Careira was extremely difficult where she spent her days throwing up, sleeping, bathing, and feeling nauseated. You can read more as she has shared her pregnancy journey here.
According to her show bio, Abigal is a stepmother who realized very soon that relying solely on friendship to navigate stepmotherhood would not be effective. She has years of experience and knows how to establish a motherly bond with her blended family via understanding and trust.
On their fifth wedding anniversary in December 2016, Abigail posted on her Facebook as she wrote, “Celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday😍💑. Grateful for a love that warms and comforts my soul. Love u, babe. #myrock #birthdayandanniversary #celebratingus.”

As fate would have it, Abigail happened to hear an advertisement for a new on-air presenter on Lotus FM, a radio station, one day while driving to school. Abigail applied on a whim. She had no prior expertise in radio or journalism, but she reasoned that if you didn’t apply, you wouldn’t stand a chance against hundreds of other candidates. Looking back, Abigail laughs because, since she wasn’t 21 yet and was still regarded as a minor in South Africa, her parents had to come in to sign her contract when she got the coveted new presenter role.
Abigail worked at Lotus FM for ten years.
In 2020, she was taking her Empowerment Coach Certification at the S.W.A.T. Institute.
