Angus Ion first met Arlene Phillips back on the set of Freddie Mercury’s music video “I Was Born To Love You” in 1985, and they immediately clicked. He was the second person the former Strictly Come Dancing judge truly fell for.
The first was her former husband Dan Noble whom she married in 1971 — she was 28 and he was just 21. They then went on to cherish 7 years of married life until they completely went out of each other’s life.
The last we saw Dan, he was working as a university lecturer in Philadelphia.
Around the 70s, Arlene was so promiscuous that she would often pick up strangers on the street. “I spent a lot of the time on the King’s Road, getting picked up by whatever flash car came by,” she shared.
Now, as of 2021, Angus and Arlene have shared over 3 decades of relationship. But the two had yet to be married. However, a report from Dailymail (dated Dec 2008) mentioned that Angus was already Arlene’s second husband.
The couple was last seen in Wales before Arlene began her two-week quarantine ahead of taking part in the new series of I’m A Celebrity. They were cozied up in a rural hideout alongside their dog Freddie before the November 21 start date.
