Aubreigh Wyatt Story: What Happened To Her?
Heather Wyatt previously said that ongoing bullying of her daughter Aubreigh Wyatt became the cause of her death. According to Heather, the eighth-grader committed suicide as a result of years of bullying from four classmates at Ocean Springs Middle School since she was in fifth grade. She has also demanded that those in authority be held responsible.
Trevor Rockstad of the Davis & Crump legal firm, Wyatt’s attorney, said that false rumors and cruel names were distributed about Aubreigh. Because the bullying was so widespread, it persisted even after Wyatt attempted to stop it and filed a complaint with the school district. In an unsettling video, Heather related how she and her eldest daughter Taylor discovered Aubreigh’s corpse in her room on Labor Day.
‘I wanted to get it off of her neck, so I’m screaming at Taylor to get a knife and she runs in there and I’m holding Aubreigh’s body up… while Taylor cuts and cuts at the rope until it releases,’ she said. “I immediately take Aubreigh’s body, that I’m holding and I lay it on her bed and I immediately start CPR and I am screaming, begging god to let her live. While that is going on is when Taylor is calling 911 and everybody else. It was a lot, I didn’t want to face it, I just laid with her, the police came, everybody came. That is how we found Aubreigh, she had taken her life by hanging, in her room. People in our city knew about it within two days.”
Heather stated that the abuse occurred offline and on social media platforms like Snapchat, at least once turning violent, but she never identified the bullies. The names of the four females Heather claimed to have bullied her daughter became well known even though Heather never disclosed their identities to the public.
Online users also posted alleged texts that purportedly detailed the bullying between Aubreigh and Heather.
The parents of the four teenagers responded by suing Heather on grounds of slander and defamation, according to The Washington Post. According to the site, a judge also ordered Heather to delete all of her social media accounts following the July 2 lawsuit. The decision infuriated a lot of social media users, who said Heather’s right to free speech had been infringed. Several well-known TikTokers have expressed their support for Heather in remarks they have posted.
“As a direct and proximate cause of the false, defamatory, and slanderous social media posts of the defendant, Heather Wyatt, the plaintiffs’ minor children have been receiving insulting and revolting messages from all over the world attacking them, calling them vulgar names, and sexualizing them,” a portion of the complaint against Heather, according to Newsweek, reads. “These girls were in the eighth grade!”
However, on July 16, the parents dismissed the lawsuit, as per a document that PEOPLE looked at and provided with Vicksburg News. According to the petition, the case was “dismissed without prejudice,” which implies the parents may reopen it at a later time if they so want.
The Wyatt family established a GoFundMe page to help with the cost of legal counsel. “I am Heather Wyatt, and I come to you with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance. On September 4, 2023, I tragically lost my beloved daughter, Aubreigh,” the bio for the GoFundMe started. “Regrettably, at the tender age of 13, she made the unimaginable decision to end her own life.”
Heather described her daughter as “vibrant, kind, and exceptionally bright” during the fundraising. “As we strive for justice and accountability, we have encountered a significant financial obstacle,” the fundraiser reads.
The GFM has amassed a total of $124,143 at the time of this article.
The Ocean Springs School District’s Trey Brennan, a spokesman, tells PEOPLE that efforts to foster “healthy relationship building” start in elementary school. “Our middle and high school students (7th-12th grade) also participate in National Bullying Prevention Month, and have school counselors assigned to each grade level to meet with students and provide them with appropriate resources,” Brennan said.

Aubreigh Wyatt Doll Video
A video that took over the internet by storm, now known as Aubriegh Wyatt Doll Video was first posted on Snapchat. The bullies grabbed a doll, made it appear extremely gory, hung it, and posted films ridiculing Aubreigh’s death allegedly following her suicide.
In terms of specifics, the doll completely draws over the face and intimate area. And they held it by its neck while pointing finger guns at the doll’s head in a picture. Later, someone sent the video to Aubreigh’s mom Heather.
