Not long After Bekah Liechty won The Voice, she and her brothers lost their beloved father. Christopher Liechty sadly died on 27 January 2022 at the age of 56. So, that was a huge setback for her and her siblings. The trio announced their father’s death via Instagram.
As a tribute, Girl Named Tom announced that they were moving forward with their weekend concerts in his honor. Her brother Calen spoke, “We have three shows the weekend after our father passed. You may be wondering why we would do that. We wanted to be able to get them out of the way so we can really throw ourselves into processing his death and planning for his memorial service”.
He really wanted us to do these shows. When he was talking about his death, he was like ‘Do not let my death deter you from doing these shows.’ He didn’t get his wish Thursday night, but he’ll be with us tonight,” Bekah’s brother Joshua said.
“Not even 24 hours after we won The Voice on that stage, we got to be in the hospital room with our Dad, all of our family together and that was very surreal just to share that moment with them,” Bekah shared on Ellen’s Show.
Where Does Bekah Liechty Live Now?
Bekah Liechty hailed from Pettisville, Ohio she and her brother are currently based in Nashville as their headquarters.
“Being in Nashville will make our lives a lot easier. We’ll launch our tours from there, and that’s where our management is,” Joshua said to South Blend Tribune. “We love being part of the music scene there.”
While appearing on Ellen’s show, the trio shared that they came from a small town in Ohio where nearly 500 people lived and there were no stoplights. They talked about the love they received from their hometown.
The first show was in a winery mile half down the road, it was the first time ever Bekah sang with her two brothers in front of 300 people.
But, based on her recent post from 10 May 2022, she was in Los Angeles, California. She was performing at The Troubadour where Joni Mitchell played her first show in LA, James Taylor made his solo debut, Elton John made his US debut, and Radiohead made their US live debut of “OK Computer”.
Almost a week before that, Bekah was in Nashville, Tennessee.

While appearing on Ellen’s Show, Bekah’s brother Caleb shared that they were working on an album throughout COVID in their home and they couldn’t wait to share it. He also shared that the album will be out next year (2022) and also opened up about touring the country.
They have already released their debut album Hits From the Road on 19 February 2021.
