It’s a second baby for the Saturday Night Live alum Abby Elliott. The American actress, comedian, and impressionist gave birth to her and her husband Bill Kennedy’s second child on 9 June 2023. So, we believe there would be no better time than this to tell you about her husband. Keep reading!
Meet Bill Kennedy, Abby Elliott’s Husband
Abby Elliott got married to Bill Kennedy on 3 September 2016 and have been together ever since. In fact, they have been inseparable since meeting on the set of S** Ed in 2014. Bill proposed to Abby the following year, and the year after that they exchanged their vows in eastern Connecticut, with even Martha Stewart Weddings witnessing it. Their elegant celebration started with a Catholic ceremony in front of just under 200 guests. Next happened cocktails and dinner nearby at Abby’s parents’ gothic-style house.
Four years later, in October 2020, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Edith Pepper Kennedy, via IVF. This had happened just seven months after Abby opened up to Kelly Clarkson about her fertility issues. Calling IVF “hardcore” she had voiced that so many people go through this and despite that it is not talked about that much.
And just now, in 2023, Abby and her husband’s hearts have been bursting again with the arrival of William “Billy” Joseph Lunney Kennedy IV, their newborn son.
Often on IG, we have seen Abby show her little ones and talk about just how amazing her husband is to them. On Father’s Day last year, she genuinely thanked him for always taking “the morning shift”.
Abby, who had a little baby carriage and a baby doll as a child, always had plans on having kids.
Prior to meeting Bill in Tampa at a strip club that night, Abby dated fellow SNL cast member Fred Armisen.

Bill, full name William J Kennedy, was born in 1984. So, he reached the age of 38 in 2022. This makes him a couple of years older than his wife who turned 35 on 16 June that year.

Back then, Bill’s mom Colette was a municipal bond marketing specialist in Chicago for Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc., and his dad was an assistant vice president of Citicorp in Chicago.
Bill’s mom graduated from Noroton School and Skidmore College. While his dad did that at the Xavier School in Concord, Mass., and Colgate University. He received a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
On Mother’s side, Bill’s grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Atkinson of Lawrence, L.I. His grandfather was a lawyer in Jamaica, Queens. Speaking of the paternal grandparents, they were Mr. and Mrs. William J.L. Kennedy of Winchester, Massachusetts. His grandfather was a director of the Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation and manager of the Cherry Hill, N.J. operation center.
Today, in his family Bill also has a sister named Maria E Kennedy. She reached the age of 35 in November 2022 and at the time she had been calling Venice, California home.
