Brent Renaud’s parents are Louis Renaud and Georgann Freasier.
Their dear son, Brent was shot dead in Ukraine by Russian soldiers, while crossing one of the first bridges in Irpin. They were planning to film other refugees leaving that day. But unfortunately, as soon as they crossed a checkpoint, the Russians open fire at them.
According to U.S. journalist Juan Arredondo — who was with Brent and also got shot — they kept shooting even though the driver turned around. Also, he was the one who saw Brent “being shot in the neck.”
While the world was riled up about losing an award-winning American journalist, Brent’s parents had yet to speak on the matter.
