Cindy Hayter On Barbecue Showdown Season 2
Season 2 of The American Barbecue Showdown is finally here. The Netflix food competition series debuted in September 2020 and followed the nation’s “best backyard smokers and competitive barbecuers as they compete for the title of American Barbecue Champion.”
According to the show’s synopsis, each episode has a task that puts the contestants’ barbeque prowess to the test in ways “they couldn’t possibly imagine. From unique meats to old school techniques, they will have to prove they have the skills to smoke another day.”
Like the rest of the competitors, Cindy Hayter’s pit mastery will be put to the test in the show as she takes on challenges alongside her fellow competitors who are also aiming to win the competition this season. She has been a long-time PNWBA cook. Cindy has done barbecuing at Da Fraulein Swine BBQ and was a Pacific Northwest transplant to Austin.
Per her LinkedIn, she is self-employed as a product advocate in Grocery Industry since 2015. She works with Janie Bowers owner of Bola Pizza. Furthermore, she is a sales representative at Fredericksburg Farms (FFarms). A video has been posted on Fredericksburg Farms’s YouTube where you can see her barbecuing for her fans.
Additionally, Cindy served in the Air Force Reserve for 8 years.

In addition to Cindy, the others competing in the show also include Thyron Mathews, Delilah Winder, Michelle Lundstrom, Joey Victorian, Eduardo Gonzalez, and Logan Sandoval.
Spoilers Ahead: Thyron “Big T” Mathews and Logan Sandoval are the two remaining competitors in the competition’s conclusion. In order to decide who will win, the final two pitmasters must go “whole hog” and serve snout-to-tail feasts. Thyron Mathews ultimately triumphs and is crowned the newest Barbecue Showdown champion.
The winner walked away with $50,000.
