Coral Castillo is one of the four finalists on season 19 of Project Runway. There were 16 contestants at the beginning of the show and elimination started from the first episode. After an excellent performance in episode 13, The Sky is the Limit, she advanced to the finale with Chasity Sereal, Kristina Kharlashkina, and Shantall Lacayo.

Drawing inspiration from her mother’s artistic side, Coral Castillo attended The Art Institute of California in San Francisco to study fashion design. From there, she earned her associate’s degree in Fashion Design.

From January 2013, Coral joined Hale Bob as an Associate Designer. She designed & created patterns for tops & dresses using past silk prints & burn-outs. In September 2014, Coral started working for Avalon Apparel Group LLC as Lead Fashion Illustrator in Los Angeles, California.

In 2009 she won the best overall effect for the Art Institute of California-San Francisco Fashion Show, Best of Women’s DayWear for Discarded to Divine 2009 and 2010, 1st place in a design competition for OC-Fashion Week in 2011, In 2019 Coral won the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator award.
