Female basketball star Dylan Gonzalez has accused Trey Songz (real name Tremaine Neverson) of ra**. She made the allegations for the first time on her Twitter account on 31 December 2021. She wrote, “Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord, forgive me I Couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022″.
Dylan posted a statement on her Twitter account where she wrote, “With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel”.
“I want to send my love, strength, and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature. You are not alone,” Dylan added further. “I stand with you and encourage all those who have suffered abuse to speak out and come forward. Suppression of our voices only emboldens our oppressors, and you cannot heal what you do not reveal.”
Dylan concluded, “At this time, I humbly request my privacy, consideration, and compassion while I fully commit to pursuing the best course of action and all of my legal options.” At the time, Trey Songz or his representative, nobody has responded to the allegations.
Whereas, Dylan’s legal team confirmed to People that they will be taking actions against Trey in the coming weeks. They also revealed that they are in the process of formally filing the litigations. The legal team members George Vrabeck and Ariel Mitchell are also representing Jahaura Jeffries who publicly identified and alleged that Songz had assaulted her sexually at a nightclub in 2018.
About the investigation, police confirmed to PEOPLE, “Neverson is cooperating with the investigation. At this time, no arrests have been made.” Back in August 2020, he was also accused by a woman named Aliza of allegedly urinating on her without her consent during an otherwise consensual sexual encounter. But, ‘Love Faces’ singer denied the accusations and called Aliza’s accusations “convenient” for someone who seeks to “destroy someone’s life.”
In 2017, Keke Palmer alleged that Trey used “sexual intimidation” to make her appear in a music video of his, that he “secretly filmed” her, and “put her in a music video against my wishes.”
