Ed Porter On Netflix’s Pressure Cooker
On the food competition show Pressure Cooker on Netflix, Ed Porter was one of the 11 chefs competing. On January 6, 2022, the show made its debut, featuring 11 brilliant chefs producing their greatest dishes and assessing one another. The program has been compared to a cross between Top Chef and Big Brother. The show’s first season featured a variety of outstanding chefs who mesmerized viewers with their prowess and strategies while sharing a residence.
According to reports, the show was recorded in Los Angeles, California. Robbie Jester won the contest and took home the $100,000 cash prize. Christan Willis, Brian Nadeau, Caroline Gutierrez, Lana Lagomarsini, Jeana Pecha, Michael Eckles, Renee Blackman, Lin Bin, and Sergei Simonov were the other cast members to join him.

Ed Porter Career
Ed Porter is a culinary industrialist. His culinary journey started in 1998 when he started working at Aquavit as a lead line cook. After two years, he started working at Radisson as Kitchen Supervisor in Minneapolis for nearly two years. In 2001, Ed founded Divine Foods International and worked till March 2004.
Ed also served as a Kitchen Supervisor at Marriott International from March 2003 to January 2005. He was a certified Master Taster at Chef’s Best. Other jobs of Ed included working at Willie Mays Skybox Lounge as Executive Chef (2004-2006). He also worked in that same role at California Maritime Academy, 300 San Jose /AMF, and Bowlmor AMF.
From September 2016 to November 2017, Ed worked at SPiN: A Ping Pong Social Club as Director of Food and Beverage. In May 2018, Ed worked at Brookdale as Director Of Dining Services.
As of 2023, Ed is working at Start Today Hennepin as Director of Administration and business owner at Guy’s Grocery Games on the Food Network.
Ed was also a musician who released a song titled Pressure Cooker. Porter and co-producer CharlesInCharge establish a slow, funk, and organic bass, drums, and guitar vibe on the song. The Chef does a polished freestyle while speaking on the mic, recalling his experiences on the program and giving shoutouts to each of his fellow competitors.

In addition to four daughters, Ed also has a son named Dallas Williams. Dallas is a graduate of Washburn High School and turned 24 years old in November 2022. Ed had his son with his ex Rae Burkhalter. Though they aren’t together anymore, Ed and Rae are still friends.
Ed is a proud father of five children and he expresses his love for his children via social media post.
