Eric Hollenbeck On Magnolia Network’s The Craftsman
In the trailer of the new show, we see Eric Hollenbeck explaining that “to get good and confident at anything takes time.” Then, he shows his viewers the city he is from and explains that all the fancy and decorative works were his craftsmanship.
Eric appears to be a humble person who admits “I mean it sounds like I’m blowing my own horn geez. That’s terrible. I shouldn’t be doing that.” He believes that any historic work has to be identical to what it was before can be closed it has to be right. His work also allowed him to start a school for at-risk students taking them into becoming productive craftsmen themselves.
The city of Eureka also announced the celebration of the official launch of “The Craftsman” by hosting a free community red carpet event at the historic Eureka Theater on March 18th. After the first two episodes of the show, a Q&A event will also be hosted.
“This event is a great opportunity to dress up with friends, visit the fabulous, historic Eureka theater and celebrate our own Eric Hollenbeck, a great representative of Eureka,” Mayor Susan Seaman said. “He’s creative, resilient, a great storyteller, and a proud Eurekan.”
The show premieres on 15 March on Magnolia Network and streams on Discovery Plus. In February 2022, Eric announced on the IG page, “Anyone else excited for The Craftsman on the Magnolia network and Discovery+ March 15th”.

Eric Hollenbeck has a total net worth above $1 million. He started working in the woods when he was 15 years old. In 1973, he set out to found a salvage logging company with 3 partners and a $300 bank loan. With those $300 they purchased a used chainsaw, a set of chokers, half a tank of gas, and a little blue truck that they dubbed Ophelia Bumps.
Moreover, Eric and his partner rented the old North Mountain Power Company building for $50 a month to store their truck and cables. Initially built in 1904, the building started falling apart by1973. Bank offered 100% financing to Blue Ox and they bought the property with payments of $600 a month.
Consequently, Eric and his wife Viviana decided to dedicate their energies toward manufacturing and began turning out prefabricated sheds. Between building sheds and turning their old salvage logs into fence posts, Blue Ox was one of the few timber-related companies to survive the financial crash. By this point, Eric’s other partners had gone their separate ways and Eric and Viviana moved forward bravely into the world of manufacturing.
Now, his business mainly offered the service of doing complete work in a building, making custom wood doors, custom wood gutter, interior details, gable decorations, molding patterns, staved and turned columns, and many more. His clients included hundreds of homeowners, as well as governors’ mansions, national parks, historic cathedrals, even the President of the United States Bill Clinton.
