While all of them have never been lucky in love, they are convinced that they have found the perfect man for themselves now. TLC’s new reality show, Addicted to Marriage, premiered on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, and it showcases four examples where women can’t just seem to exchange their wedding vows.
Geno Peralta and his girlfriend Amy Compton have been in a relationship for a long time. Geno even moved from Florida to Idaho to be close to her. But, it was very recently that Amy broke the news that she’s been already married four times before and he’d be her Husband #5 if they tie the knot.
But, now Amy is genuinely worried that Geno might dump her as her track record is a major flag. Talking to The Post, she said, “But, I picture a guy sitting in front of me on a date and saying, ‘I want to let you know I’ve been married four times,” I’m not going to lie, I don’t know if I would still date that person! I think it’s a valid concern.”
Amy revealed that all of her past marriages failed because she rushed into them, often getting engaged just months after her split. Her longest marriage lasted for eight years whereas her shortest marriage lasted only 8 months.
Amy told, “Society tells us that you should be married one time only until death does you part. And as much as I’ve always wanted to believe in that and be committed to one person, it doesn’t always work out that way, ” to The Post.
She also said, “I fall super hard and super fast. I’m very trusting, and I love being in love. I’ve been through infidelity, lying, disloyalty, I’ve been with someone who abused alcohol — not all things that you notice are problems when you’re first together. And then when you realize there’s some major issues that may never be fixed, you have to move on.”
