Meet Keaton Ashton, Kids Baking Championship 2021 Winner
Speaking with Food Network, Keaton Ashton shared that he didn’t enter the competition thinking that he would win the whole show. “My only goal was to make it past the first couple of challenges,” Keaton told Food Network. However, Patisserie prodigy Keaton has been crowned the winner of the Kids Baking Championship 2021. The show ran for 10 weeks and ambitious young bakers competed for the grand prize of $25,000 and the chance to be featured in Food Network Magazine.
Keaton competed against Haylin Adams from Glasgow, Kentucky, Jonah Anderson from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Prospect Park, Pennsylvania-native Cydney Cain, Andrew Clark from Madison, Mississippi, Trey Gordon from Davenport, Iowa, Beall Luu from San Jose, California, D’Von Mills from Lithonia, Georgia, Namiah Phillips from Long Beach, California, Miabella Ramirez from Katy, Texas, McKenzly Sandefer from Conway, Arizona, and Nemo Tsai from Ann Harbor, Michigan.
At the finals, Keaton went head to head against Bella Luu and Konah Anderson. The show was filmed in the summer of 2020 in Southern California. The last three weeks of the competition proved very competitive and he ended up winning the whole show with three Biome-inspired cakes.
Judges Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli chose Keaton as the winner of the show for the creativity and consistency that he exuded.
With the whopping prize money of $25K, Keaton shared that he wanted to buy a new fish tank and to save the rest to help fund college. He also received a set of Food Network brand baking products and one of his original cakes featured at Bakery Charm City Cakes.

Who Is Keaton Ashton’s Mom?
Keaton Ashton was born to his mom Michelle Ashton (@michelle.ashton).
Keaton’s mother Michelle Ashton was with him in Los Angeles watching him whipping recipes meanwhile his father Joel and his three elder sisters were at home cheering him on.
“After the first few bakes, I honestly thought he was doing to do pretty good because he was handling the pressure well,” Michelle told East Idaho News. “He was managing his time well and that is a huge key thing in doing that show because everything is very timed. If you run out of time, your bakes are not going to be good.”
Although Michelle doesn’t bake, she took her son to the cake class on his 11th birthday which inspired him to pursue baking as a hobby.
Adding further about the experience, Michelle revealed, “All in all, this was such a neat, cool experience that we’ll never be able to replicate again. It was been intense but it’s been so fun to see how they edited the show and put it all together. I love that Keaton was portrayed as a nice kid. I feel like they showed his true colors.”
Michelle attended Madison Senior High School and went to Ricks College, ISU, and BYU-Idaho for college education.
Who Is Keaton Ashton’s Dad?
Keaton’s dad Joel Ashton is a fourth-generation potato farmer from Rexburg, Idaho. But he appears to be from Othello, Washington. He tied the knots with his wife Michelle on 6 August 1998.
Also, Joel shared with Idahopotato.com, that he takes pride in becoming a farmer. His family grew top-quality food to feed America and give the local community the opportunity for summer and fall employment.
Joel is the owner of Ashton Farms LLC which he founded in 2012. Buzzfile reported that the annual revenue of the company is $ 117,014.

Having three older sisters, Keaton Ashton is the youngest of four children born to Joel and Michelle Ashton.
His sister Sadie Rose Ashton attended and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School. She attended college at Boise State University. Because of COVID-19, she returned to the College of Eastern Idaho and started pursuing a career in nursing.
Moreover, Tess Ashton is a high school junior attending Madison High School where she is a varsity cheerleader.
