Who Are Hadleigh Painter Parents?
Hadleigh Painter appeared on HGTV’s special show My Lottery Dream House looking to spend her jackpot money on buying a house for her family. She is the daughter of Derek Painter and Pam Painter.
Every year on January 8, Hadleigh Painter celebrates her birthday. When the episode was filmed, she was 22 years old. When she was twenty-one, she won the lotto. Her scratch card promised her $25 thousand for a lifetime. Instead, she decided to take a lump sum amount of $390,000 in the lottery. She is looking for her dream home for her sister and her mother to live and she arrived on the show with a budget of $550,000.
Hadleigh is a graduate of Ardery Kell High School. She graduated high school in 2017. While in high school, she played track & field. She competed in events such as Pole Vault and 400 Meter Dash and also ran 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.
After high school, Hadleigh enrolled at Pitt Community College where she studied for only a year. Starting in 2018, she transferred to East Carolina University and graduated in 2021 with a 4.0 GPA in Religious Studies and Hispanic Studies with a minor in Communications.
Haleigh’s LinkedIn states she worked as a Counselor for My Farm Camps from 2013-2017. While working there for nearly four and a half years, she managed staff, campers, animals, and supplies. She also worked for El Vallarta Mexican Restaurant as a waitress for three months in 2017.
Moreover, she also worked as a Hostess for Stilllife Nightclub in August 2017.
Hadleigh also did some volunteer work for organizations such as Elevation Church, Samaritan’s Feet International, Urban Ministry Center, AMEXICAN, Reign Leadership, and a few other organizations. Since her winning, Hadleigh has worked as a server at Cafe Monte. She is now seeking new opportunities and also started working at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in 2022.
Meet Derek Painter, Hadleigh Painter Father
Hadleigh Painter’s father is named Derek Painter. Born in July 1970, Derek turned 53 in 2023.
Derek is the son of the late Larry Neal Painter Sr and Mary Ann Clegg Painter. The son of Dorothy Howard Painter and Aylmer Painter, Larry was born at home in River Bend, North Carolina. His paternal grandparents, William and Emma Painter, looked after him during the first ten years of his childhood as he and his brother Ronnie lived on the family farm near Lucia, North Carolina.
After earning his degree from Mars Hill Junior College in 1956, Larry went to Mercer University in 1957 and 1958 on a baseball scholarship. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer in 1959, he was granted admission to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, which is situated on the Wake Forest University campus in Wake Forest, North Carolina, in 1960. In addition to receiving a fellowship offer, which he declined, Larry would go on to receive a Bachelor of Divinity degree. In 1957, he was ordained at Charlotte, North Carolina’s Oakhurst Baptist Church.
Larry has two siblings called Larry Neal Painter Jr. of Charlotte and Terre Painter McMurtrey of Charlotte.
Derek may be working as an Emerging Business Group Relationship Manager.
Meet Pam Painter, Hadleigh Painter Mother
Pamela Painter is the mother of Hadleigh Painter. She reached age 52 in May 2023.
Hadleigh has exclusively revealed to GossipNextDoor, “My mom has always been the most supportive individual in my life, no matter what my goal at the moment was. Hence, why I co-bought the house for her so this can eventually be her forever home and I will pull equity out eventually and buy my own home. Not enough can be said about the importance of my mom’s role in my life, however, she does like privacy. Additionally, I am very close with my mom’s side of the family.”
