Since receiving his degree in 2013, Peter has appeared in several plays including “Mercury Fur” at The New Group, “The Harvest” at Lincoln Center, the Tony-nominated revival of “Six Degrees of Separation” with Allison Janney, and “The Rose Tattoo” opposite Patti LuPone at the Samuel Friedman Theater.
On “Strange Angel” on CBS All Access, Peter was a regular series participant. There are also recurrent roles on other television shows “The Good Fight,” “Gotham,” “SVU,” “The Leftovers,” “The Americans,” “Girls,” and “Chicago Med,” as well as numerous guest-starring parts on those programs. The movies “Louder Than Bombs,” “Time Out of Mind,” “The Ticket” (TriBeCa), and “Seven Lovers” all feature appearances.”
Peter is a skilled musician who has written music for the company Hickory Collective, which creates music for commercials, podcasts, and movies.

It always was sort of a home for me, but I guess it wasn’t really until I played Viola in a production of Twelfth Night in college that a little window opened. Oh, there’s so much for me to explore in this craft.”
Helen continued, “In terms of, oh, this can really engage not only my intelligence, but my heart, and soul and body to sort of feel that full-throttle engagement for the first time. I think it was something that I had experienced before, ever since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until then that the light bulb off. Oh, I think I want to do this with my life, but if I’m going to do this with my life, I want to hide away in school, and try things, and make mistakes and really see what it’s like to be an athlete as an actor, to really feel like I’ve honed my skills.”
The actress concluded, “So I applied to grad schools and said, let me see if this works out. And it did happen to work out, so I went to Juilliard. And that was sort of the point of no return.”
Helen’s stage credits include A Picture of Autumn performed at Mint Theater Production, The Cripple of Inishmaan performed at Michael Grandage Company Production, Taking Steps performed at Barrington Stage Company Revival, Fefu and Her Friends at Theatre For A New Audience Off-Broadway Revival, and Timon of Athens performed at TFANA’s Off-Broadway Production in 2020.
