Demarco Morgan will soon replace T.J. Holmes on ABC’s Good Morning America. The switch was prompted after the alleged romance between T.J. and co-host Amy Robach surfaced in the workplace.

Is DeMarco Morgan Married?

No, as of 2022, DeMarco Morgan isn’t married. In fact, this anchor — who’s already in his 40s — had no plans to tie the knot anytime soon as well.

Rather, DeMarco seemed focused on his career more than ever now. Hired by ABC News in Dec 2022, DeMarco seemed excited to host his first Good Morning America ep.

But originally, Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez were replacing T.J. and Amy. However, on December 9, it was DeMarco spotted in Gio Benitez’s place, alongside Dr. Jennifer Ashton. “We’re filling in for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes,” Stephanie said.

With this achievement, DeMarco certainly has added another million fans to his list, and one of them is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais.

Sharing the news about  DeMarco filling in for T.J. Holmes, the RHOBH took to her Twitter to write, “Well hello.”

In case you didn’t know, Good Morning America’s former hosts T.J. and Amy were removed from their roles on December 5, 2022, after the president of ABC News Kimberly Godwin marked their affair as an “internal and external distraction.”

“I want to say that while the relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what is best for ABC News,” he explained.

Does DeMarco Morgan Have A Girlfriend?

Having an in-office affair can certainly get you fired, but it’s only when you get caught! DeMarco Morgan was private about his girlfriend. Though we’re sure he’s not involved in any “in-work” romance, DeMarco must have had a girlfriend/boyfriend during his time on Good Morning America.

Also, it’s possible DeMarco already has a child. Back in June 2019, he was spotted on set with a kid (in his arms) with looked a lot like him.

DeMarco Morgan stands tall at a height of around 5 feet 11 inches (180 cm).

Who Are DeMarco Morgan Parents?

DeMarco Morgan was born to his parents, Joetta and John Morgan.

Sadly, his father, John passed away when he was just 10. But the anchor still wishes him on father’s day.

Likewise, Joetta still misses him. “Happy Heavenly Father’s Day To my Husband, John Morgan n All The Fathers Out There! Father’s Enjoy To My Husband  Continue To RIP Love U Always,” she made an FB post in June 2022.

According to DeMarco, his mother was the woman who taught him that in life, “When you are no longer being served respect at the table, to have the courage to get cho ass up and leave.” He thanks her for all the lessons on the “playground to how to shut them down in the boardroom”. But most importantly, he’s grateful to her for teaching him how “God is love.”

As for his siblings, DeMarco has two sisters named Sheree Elmore and Ajuania Herrion-Pratt. Also, he used to have a brother named Tony LaMarr who passed away in November 2022.

It seems Tony passed away peacefully lying in his bed at his apartment in Tulsa 

“I am forever grateful for that smile, the endless jokes, the rough and tough wrestling throughout my childhood….and the beautiful children he leaves behind. But more importantly…for how much he loved our mother,” DeMarco paid a tribute to him.

DeMarco Morgan Career

DeMarco Morgan is a journalist who’s been in the industry for the past 2 decades.

He started his career after graduating from Jackson State University at CBS affiliate WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2004, he then joined ABC’s WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, co-anchoring alongside Portia Young. After working there for 3 years, DeMarco then joined NBC’s WTVJ in Miami, Florida, as an anchor and reporter, and the next year, he jumped ship to WNBC in New York City.

While he was broadcasting, DeMarco also worked on his Master’s Degree at Columbia State University. It was also great, he covered the 11/11 terrorist attacks.
