sMothered star Cher Hubsher met her now-husband Jared Gopman at the University of Florida, where Jared was a premed major and Cher, a nursing student.
The two flirted over slices of pizza at Satchel’s in Gainesville on their first date. Reportedly, Jared was impressed during the date night, particularly because of how strong and independent she looked, and also because she was not afraid to stick up for her beliefs.
After that night during their freshman year, Jared and Cher dated all through college. Jared proposed to Cher at the end of their senior year at the Kanahapa Botanical Gardens in the coolest way possible.
On April 12, 2022, Jared left a note for Cher, where he told her to wear a dress and visit the gardens. Once she got there, a woman in admissions gave her a clue and a map. Cher found a typed poem, a fresh bouquet of flowers, and another clue at the spot marked on the map. At the last stop was Jared standing in the middle of a bridge with a bouquet waiting for Cher.
Almost a year later, on May 26, 2013, Jared and Cher exchanged their wedding vows at Innisbrook Golf resort in a huge wedding ceremony with roughly 225 guests in attendance. Cher and her mom, Dawn, planned most of the wedding, which was themed “Happily Ever After.”
As per tampabay.com, the couple left the ceremony in a white horse-drawn Cinderella carriage decorated in fresh flowers. Also, they honeymooned for 12 days in Hawaii.
