Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha has been charged with the death of actor Matthew Perry. She was moving her products out of her home in California which was dubbed as “Sangha Stash House.” However, fans of the actor have been wondering about details about her life.
We will be tackling questions like; how old is she? Who is her husband? Is she Indian? Find the answers as this article proceeds.
Who Is Jasveen Sangha?
Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the “Ketamine Queen” by the prosecution, was one of the five defendants in the 2023 overdose tragedy involving Matthew Perry. In accordance with the indictment, Jasveen “stored, packaged, and distributed narcotics, including ketamine and methamphetamine” out of her North Hollywood, California house, which the prosecution dubbed the “Sangha Stash House.”
In the indictment, prosecutors claimed that Kenneth looked for a different supply of ketamine for his boss in the middle of October. Jasveen, the “ketamine queen,” was approached by Eric Fleming, an associate of his, who in turn got in touch with her, according to the indictment.
On October 28, 2023, Perry was discovered unconscious in the pool of his Pacific Palisades residence. Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic with some psychedelic effects; the actor died from acute ketamine effects.
According to the indictment, on October 11, 2023, Jasveen texted Fleming via the encrypted messaging app Signal about her supply of ketamine and offered Perry a sample to try. “It’s unmarked but it’s amazing — he takes one and try it and I have more if he likes,” she wrote. After that, Fleming is said to have given Kenneth a screenshot of Sangha’s message.
“(J)ust got this from my person. She only deal(s) with high end and celebs,” he wrote. “If it were not great stuff she’d lose her business.”
Matthew’s assistant purchased 25 vials of ketamine from Fleming and Sangha on Oct. 14, 2023, prosecutors alleged. Just over a week later, on Oct. 23, 2023, the actor’s assistant paid $6,000 for additional ketamine. According to the indictment, Jasveen claimed her ketamine source, whom she referred to as a “master chef” and “scientist,” would provide more ketamine on October 24, 2023.
Later that day, Fleming then delivered an additional 25 vials of ketamine to Iwamasa. Over the next few days, Kenneth injected Matthew with at least six shots of ketamine per day, until his death on Oct. 28, 2023, when Kenneth injected him with at least three shots of ketamine, “which resulted in the death and serious bodily injury of (Perry),” prosecutors wrote in the indictment.
According to the indictment, after reading news reports about the actor’s death, Jasveen texted Fleming: “Delete all of our messages.”
On August 15, the Central District of California U.S. Attorney’s Office issued charges concerning Matthew’s unintentional death. According to the indictment, Jasveen provided the ketamine that ultimately caused the actor’s death.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office claims that three more defendants, including Kenneth Iwamasa, the actor’s assistant, accepted plea agreements from the prosecution. Jasveen is charged with nine crimes, including distribution of ketamine that causes death and conspiracy to distribute ketamine. She appeared in court for the first time on August 15 wearing big round glasses and a baggy, bright green Nirvana T-shirt, according to NBC News.
The accused drug dealer entered a not-guilty plea, and the judge decided that she posed a flight risk and ordered her to be detained without parole.
During a press conference on August 14, Martin Estrada, the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, referred to Jasveen’s residence as a “drug-selling emporium”.
Authorities carried out search warrants at Jasveen’s North Hollywood residence following Matthew’s passing. According to the indictment, investigators found 79 vials of ketamine and around 3 pounds of pills that contained cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, methamphetamine, and prescription medications that looked to have been obtained unlawfully.
“If anything, she became more social in the past few months,” a long-time friend of Sangha told the POST. “She seemed carefree like she didn’t have a worry in the world.”
“She was always up for parties or dinner or just hanging out. She put on a brave face, considering what she knew was coming, She acted like it was no big deal at all,” they added.
How Much Is Jasveen Sangha Net Worth?
With an estimated net worth above a whopping $1 million, Jasveen Sangha was able to afford an extravagant lifestyle including foreign trips, pricey cars, and facial treatments. She was described as a “celebrity drug dealer” who provided “high-quality goods” to a clientele of the wealthy and famous.
According to the investigators, Sangha lived a lavish lifestyle, owning a BMW and taking regular vacations to far-flung places including Mexico, Spain, Italy, Greece, Japan, France, Dubai, and Antigua, all while he was allegedly distributing lethal drugs. The prosecution argues that she disregarded the lives lost as a result of her ketamine distribution with callousness and continued to spend money on parties, shopping, cosmetic procedures, and other indulgences.
Her lucrative business has reportedly funded renting a high-end North Hollywood residence for thousands of dollars monthly and driving luxury vehicles like a Range Rover and a leased 2024 BMW.
It is believed that just before her arrest, Sangha visited a hair salon, had her nails done, went shopping, and attended parties in Hollywood. She further stated that she worked for herself as a self-employed “artist and singer” who took part in “art shows,” according to pretrial services referenced in court documents.
The Sun discovered that Jasveen did, in fact, own companies, one of which was a nail salon that debuted in 2015 and is thought to have closed two years later.
Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, an MMA fighter, attended a Christmas party held by Stiletto Nail Bar, a business situated in Studio City, Los Angeles, a neighborhood well-known for its hip eateries. Yelp reviews state that the company was frequently understaffed and that employees were grumbling about how much Groupon vouchers were costing them.
