RHONY Jessel Taank married Pavit Randhawa at a wedding in Mexico on 18 October 2014.
Before this, Jessel had met the gonna-be financier and husband after they were introduced by a friend at a bar on the Lower East Side. Their romance, however, did not spark immediately and they remained close friends for years before they began to date. They had become fast friends and discover they were both looking to move.
And so when Jessel’s mother came to visit her for the first time, she was introduced to Pavit. She had commented they would end up together. That was when Jessel started paying closer attention and ended up asking him out to dinner.
They started dating of course and three years into the relationship, Pavit proposed to her. After having successfully tricked Jessel into thinking he was going to propose more than once, Pavit had finally popped the question on Labor Day weekend.
They were long distances for a significant period of time. Pavit was accepted into the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and Jessel was working in New York with Michael Kors. The distance was brutal, but they managed to see each other every other week, either in New York or for fun little weekend getaways.
