Keenan Cooks On Netflix’s Dance 100
Netflix’s Dance 100 isn’t what it sounds like. Yes, there’s dance! But it’s not the 100 dancers who are being judged. Rather these talented dancers judge some seriously complex routines as eight choreographers battle it out for the chance to win $100,000. Our star, Keenan Cooks was one of these choreographers who made it to the finals.
Keenan started his Dance 100 journey with a bang preparing routines for 7 and 14 dancers, respectively. After entering the penultimate round of the show, Keenan and his fellow choreographers then were tasked with a dance where they had to take inspiration from the assigned decade. Luckily, Keenan got the chance to pay homage to the 1970s and he filled the stage full of bright colors with captivating music set in a lounge.
Then, for the next dance, Keenan was asked to tell a story based on the narrative of “A Night Under the Stars.” As a result, he choreographed a romantically haunting performance with two dancers showcasing their love story. Everyone in the audience felt the connection between those two dancers, and Keenan advanced to the final.
As for his final tasks, Keenan had to prepare a routine for 50 dancers and another for all the 100 members of the Dance 100 crew. Knowing what was at the stake, he gave his best to ensure that the audience would be enthralled by the performance. But alas, Keenan lost the battle to Brandi Chun.

Today, Keenan Cooks is more successful than ever as a dancer and choreographer. Seems like his fame as the Dance 100 season 1 runner-up has helped him amass a loyal fanbase, and also gain the attention of star-studded celebrities.
At the time of writing this article, Keenan was working as a choreographer for Bloc Talent Agency Inc and a Dance Instructor for Broadway Dance Center. Also, he worked as a dance teacher at Peridance Center and Steps on Broadway.
Furthermore, thanks to his work, the choreographer has had the chance to travel across countries including Japan, South Korea, China, Germany, Paris, Argentina, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, and Italy.

On the other hand, Keenan recently took his mother on a trip to Miami for her 50th birthday in November 2022. “Got her a yacht, we drank good drinks, ate good food, and even had my grandmother twerking at Drag Brunch,” he recalled.
His mother, Gena is the Founder and President of Rosalie’s GrandDaughters Lending Hands of Love. She was married to Donyel Wright (Keenan’s stepdad) in November 2018.
As for Keenan’s siblings, he has a sister named Kelis who turned 21 on August 15, 2022.

“If someone would’ve told me 2 years ago I’d FINALLY be in a healthy relationship, I would’ve laughed at their ass! Then ran… cause ya boy was done with they gays,” he explained.
