Kenzie Hansen first came to light in October 2022 as Xavier Prather posted an IG pic of them dressed up for Halloween. Though the duo didn’t announce their relationship then, it was something many like to call being “IG official.”
Fast forward to May 2023, Xavier once again surprised his fans, as well as Kenzie, with a romantic proposal at Spanish restaurant MDRD, located at the top of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It seems that the Big Brother winner blindfolded Kenzie to a balcony looking over the Grand Rapids skyline, which had been decorated with rose petals in the outline of a heart and letters spelling out “marry me” set alongside the rail.
For this special moment, Xavier wore a plum suit with a white button-down shirt and black shoes while Kenzie kept it classic in a little black sleeveless dress. However, she did accessorize her look with black heels and gold jewelry. And of course, she received the most important piece of her jewelry after the proposal — an oval-shaped Rogers & Hollands engagement ring.
Xavier said that they visited the local family-owned business to pick out the ring before the proposal, but Hansen had left the design of it completely up to him.
After the engagement, the future husband/wife then celebrated with family and friends waiting nearby.
For those of you wondering, if Xavier literally bent the knee or not (for he was injured with a torn Achilles, fractured ankle, and broken wrist). Yes, he did! “All seriousness it was a struggle, but managed to make it work,” he said. The star also revealed that it took him five months to plan the whole proposal, as it was a “full-day affair” to get all the decorations set up at the venue.

Who Are Kenzie Hansen Parents?
Kenzie Hansen was born to her parents, Dr. Rocky and Peggy A Hansen. She’s very close to them. No wonder, Xavier asked for their permission to purpose. “My fiancee has a great relationship with both of her parents. I wouldn’t have been okay with asking one and not the other,” he shared. “I took them both out to eat and asked them both for their blessing.”
Her father, Dr. Rocky Hansen is a 1978 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. He’s been working as an optometrist in Greenville for over 42 years. Thanks to his unparalleled work, he was awarded the 2016 Fred & Lena Meijer Spirit of Caring Award by the Spectrum Health Foundation United and Kelsey Hospitals.
“Rocky is caring, compassionate, open-minded, patient, and inspirational. He is a visionary who thoughtfully researches each project he undertakes and his respectful manner strengthens everything he is involved in,” they said.
As for her mother, we don’t know much about Peggy except that she was born in July 1952.
Besides her parents, Kenzie was also close to her 10-year-older sister Keisha Marie Hansen.
Keisha studied Emergency Medical Technician at Creighton University and went on to work as a Flight Nurse at STAT MedEvac and a Registered Nurse/NREMT-P at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Now, she lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband and their little one.
Kenzie Hansen Job
Kenzie Hansen is a pediatric orthopedic technician. In 2023, she was working full-time at Corewell Health for over 5 years. However, she initially joined the clinic as an Adult Critical Care Nursing Assistant providing care to improve the daily living and overall health of patients in a 46-bed cardiovascular unit. It was only in Dec 2022, she was promoted to pediatric orthopedic technician.
Before this, she worked as an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Caregiver at Royal Care Link LLC for 9 months. There, she provided care for special needs individuals by guiding physical activity and monitoring the development of social skills.
Also, Kenzie has been an Ophthalmic Technician at Verdier Eye Center for almost2 years. Her job there asked her to prepare patients for doctors by gathering chief complaints, testing visual acuity, analyzing prescription refraction with the phoropter, measuring intraocular pressure, and administering ophthalmic tests
As for her education, she got her Medical Nerusosceince degree and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree from Michigan State University in July 2021 and December 2017 respectively.
