Larry Potash has suffered a shoulder injury. It seems that the WGN-TV anchor tore a muscle in his bicep while playing basketball. So, now, helping him move around the town is his wife Lisa Potash.
But who is Lisa Potash? Keep reading to find out.
Meet Lisa Potash, Larry Potash Wife
Lisa Potash is the love of Larry’s life. She’s been with him for over a decade. And they are only one of the few couples (or probably the only one) who get to say that they’ve renewed their wedding vows wearing a Stormtrooper Mask! Yes, they renewed their vows in December 2015 in a suit, dress, and Stormtrooper masks.
Besides sharing vows, the lovebirds also shared a home at Tallgrass Lane, Lake Forest, IL worth around $370 thousand. Their property built in 2005 was a 2-storied building with 5 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, and an attached 743 square feet garage.
The WGN Morning News anchor, Larry Potash has been a staple at the popular channel ever since 1995. There, he covered in-depth stories about history, science, religion, and more. A year after he joined the show, he even traveled to Asia to do a multi-part series on the culture of Hong Kong and the transition to Chinese sovereignty.
His daily show, “Larry’s World,” took a look at the offbeat, fun, and sometimes unknown facts behind various pop culture phenomena.
Also, he is the host of Backstory with Larry Potash, a new show that ran periodically.
Thanks to his unparalleled broadcasting talent, Larry has won 16 Emmy Awards including Best Magazine Show, and 13 Silver Dome awards including Best Anchor in Chicago.
Prior to WGN-TV, Larry was a weekend anchor and political reporter for KOTV-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Now, coming to the part where Larry gave his wife a scare. It seems Larry just injured his shoulder in the basketball game after an opposing player’s elbow went hard into his bicep. Later, he was then taken to a hospital with Lisa on her way too.
So, did Larry’s team win the game? He joked that he didn’t even care at that point.
Larry And Lisa Potash Children
Lisa shares two daughters, Kaylin and Mallory, with Larry Potash. If you live around West Park, you might have seen the anchor with them around local summer events — from the Lake Forest Bank and Trust Carnival to Lake Forest Days.
Also, fans of the Morning news should have definitely seen Mallory on the show. She has appeared alongside her dad, Pat Tomasulo, Paul Konrad, or even solo as the Friday Forecaster. Seems like the little one is following her daddy’s footsteps.
Back in May 2018, after seeing Mallory as the Friday Forecaster, a viewer tweeted, “She did an ” Awesome” job! She’s absolutely ADORABLE! Great job on parenting Mom and Dad. You should be very proud! Boy channel 9 morning team has some very smart and charming children. Just like their parents.”
Today (as of 2023), Kaylin attends Butler University College of Communication. She is also a Lake Forest High School graduate who likes shopping, music, interior designing, painting, fashion styling, volleyball, photography, and filmmaking.
Find Kaylin on IG @kaylincreations and FB @KaylinPotash.
As for Mallory, we don’t know much about her except that she’s a big Celtics fan. Also, Lisa tells that Mallory is a mini version of her while Kaylin is a mini-Larry.
Kaylin and Mallory were born in late 2004, and Jan 2008, respectively.
