MAFS Australia: Are Layton Mills And Melinda Willis Still Together?

Months prior to its release, in August 2022, Layton Mills was already spotted filming his wedding to Brisbane beautician Melinda Willis in Sydney’s Darling Harbour. It is since then the fans have been expecting these two to be one of the stand-out couples this season on MAFS.

At the time of this writing, it was not known if Layton and Melinda are still together. But, fans certainly have wished them to be. There are people believing that he and his expert-appointed wife will get along just fine even IRL. Especially because Melinda also happens to be an entrepreneur and founder of her own company, Feather Sisters, a beauty website that hit over $1 million in sales in 2020 alone.

It should be noted that MAFS is not Layton’s first time appearing on a dating show. Layton also tried his luck on First Dates Australia in 2016 and he actually got lucky also. In an interview afterward, he confessed about he and Lani Starkey “hooking up” “FOUR” times after meeting on the show.

Back in 2009, he also appeared in an episode of Wipeout Australia, which is based on the U.S. game show of the same name. His was S01E07. His sister Kate once teased on Facebook that every time she needs a chuckle, she watches Layton’ss episode of the show and laughs her “ass off”.

Layton Mills also opened up to the cameras on MAFS that he is close to his parents and wants to be there to care for them as they grow older.

His mother is Shelby Mills. On Facebook, she mentioned working at Qscan Group consisting of Qscan Radiology Clinics, North Coast Radiology, and South East Radiology, Alpeng. Also, on Facebook, back in September 2014, she opened up about her husband’s cancer. She said they had just found out a couple of months ago. Then, in October 2015, she updated that he had his last chemo session and the journey has been long and hard for him.

In November 2015, Layton confirmed that his 68-year-old dad had just beat cancer for the second time. “The man’s got heart”, he wrote. Again, Layton showed him in 2019 and he was doing pretty well, it seemed.

Layton also likely has a very good relationship with his siblings. There are sisters Kate Eloise and Erin Sheehan (Mills), and a brother, Jarrod Mills.

Kate, on IG @kmills1983, also recently teased on Facebook, that her brother is going to appear on a highly controversial TV show. In the beginning, she said, the family thought that it was a bit of a joke until he got “quite upset” with them for treating it that way.

So, Kate confirmed the whole family has been with Layton throughout the not-so-easy journey.

Layton told the cameras on MAFS that before taking this journey he was a single person in his close-knit group of friends, and this was what primarily led him to finally realize that something must change or this will become his reality for life.

Layton Mills Job

Since March 2021, Layton Mills has been working full-time as a CEO at AusCann, an Australian-based pharmaceutical company focused on developing, producing, and distributing cannabinoid-based medicines within Australia and internationally.

Then, there is CannPal Animal Therapeutics Limited, the company where he has been the founder and managing director since June 2016. That same year and month, he also started working as the director of Capital Food Group. He has not stopped.

Also, in simpler words, Layton describes himself as an experienced entrepreneur who has worked in the life sciences and consumer goods industries for more than 13 years.

Speaking of his education, Layton acquired his Advanced Diploma in Business Management and Marketing from Australian Business Academy from 2008 through 2011. Also, between 1996 and 2004, he went to St Edmunds College.

Layton also is into landscaping. After 12 months and 63 YouTube tutorials, Layton had his first house landscaped in  Canberra, Australian Capital Territory in 2017.
