Logan Sandoval On Barbecue Showdown Season 2
Logan Sandoval is ready to give his Californian touch in season 2 of Netflix’s The American Barbecue Showdown. Yes, the second of The American Barbecue Showdown is finally here.
The Netflix food competition series debuted in September 2020 and followed the nation’s “best backyard smokers and competitive barbecuers as they compete for the title of American Barbecue Champion.”
According to the show’s synopsis, each episode has a task that puts the contestants’ barbeque prowess to the test in ways “they couldn’t possibly imagine. From unique meats to old school techniques, they will have to prove they have the skills to smoke another day.”
With several award-winning competitors coming from all over the states, he needs to show he is the best to the national and international viewers.
In addition to Logan, the others competing in the show also include Thyron Mathews, Delilah Winder, Michelle Lundstrom, Joey Victorian, Eduardo Gonzalez, and Cindy Hayter.
Spoilers Ahead: Thyron “Big T” Mathews and Logan are the two remaining competitors in the competition’s conclusion. In order to decide who will win, the final two pitmasters must go “whole hog” and serve snout-to-tail feasts. Thyron Mathews ultimately triumphs and is crowned the newest Barbecue Showdown champion.

Logan Sandoval Career
Logan Sandoval is classically trained in culinary arts. He began his cheffing career at Hyatt Regency Louisville. He was hired as a sous chef in April 2013. Logan worked in Hyatt till May 2017.
Then in March 2017, Logan joined Hyatt Hotels Corporation as Chef Tourant where he worked till November 2017. After he quit his job at Hyatt, he joined Cafe Japengo as Chef De Cuisine in San Diego. Starting in 2018, Logan is serving as Banquet Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Chicago.
Furthermore, he started ZEF BBQ with Ana Lindsey in 2020 basically out of necessity and free time. To keep themselves busy during the coronavirus pandemic and to make sure they were bringing in an income for their family ZEF BBQ was started. They were both in transition after losing their jobs.
As a result, they made the decision to return to Logan’s native Simi Valley and open a barbecue pop-up shop in his parents’ home. They released their first menu and sold out nine days after the concept was initially proposed.
They specialize in Central Texas-style BBQ, but their changing menu has global influences, with a California flair.
Chef Logan, a self-taught pit boy (he rejects the title “Pitmaster”), began pit-smoking meats not only at work but also in the backyard of his cramped apartment in downtown Louisville. After a brief time as Chef de Cuisine in Monterey and an even shorter term in San Diego, he found himself in Chicago, Illinois, where he worked as the Evening Banquet Chef, producing meals for anything between 500 and 4000 people.
Chicago was not only a shock but also immensely inspirational to the Chef. Not feeling creatively fed, he began to stage at Michelin Star restaurants around the city while also selling pit-smoked meats with Hispanic, Middle Eastern, and Pacific Island flare out of his backyard in the neighborhood of Ravenswood during Cubs games.

Logan Sandoval Wife
Logan Sandoval is married to his wife Anna Lindsey. The pair have been in a relationship since 2015, so as their Facebook relationship status states. According to Beyond The Acorn, they are married but neither of them publicly revealed their wedding date.
The couple first welcomed a daughter together named Nalani Harper Sandoval. She was born on 24 June 2016 at 1:23 am. After Nalani was born, she was rushed to the NICU to be tended to because she couldn’t breathe on her own and the doctors were not sure if she was going to make it. Nalani fought hard for two days against her infection and finally was able to breathe on her own without help.
Logan’s precious baby girl is currently 6 years old. In February 2023, Logan shared that “The most valuable gift you can give your child is a clear and definable definition of hard work. Teaching your kid that everything in life is earned and not given.”
But did you know that he also has a son? Logan’s boy is named Kaiona (kai) Sandoval born in the first half of 2022.
The mother of his daughter is, of course, Anna. On Mother’s Day 2023, Logan wished his wife, “Happy Mother’s Day to my baby momma, life partner, mother of my children, handler, love of my life, other half, and everything in between. Thank you for making me the man and father I am.”
