Sandra Diaz-Twine is happily married to her husband Marcus Twine. The couple exchanged their wedding vows in June 1994. Before that, they were together for 2 years. As of January 2024, Sandra and Marcus have been married for 29 years.

She returned in the game for the fourth time with “Winners at War,” which is tied for second-most times playing behind Boston Rob Mariano, who will be playing for the fifth time this season.
Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Sandra attended school there through the sixth grade. After that, she went to Miami for high school and Puerto Rico for middle school. After that, she worked as a quartermaster in the U.S. Army, spending time there during the first Gulf War. Diaz-Twine was employed in Fayetteville, North Carolina, as a legal secretary for a law company and as a bank teller before she had her Survivor experiences.
Naturally, Sandra abandoned her 9 to 5 job after winning Survivor twice. She is the only person to do so, though it’s likely that someone else will follow suit after “Winners at War.”
Additionally, their cherished Pomeranians are also a part of their family; sadly, one of them went away this past summer when Diaz-Twine was filming “Island of the Idols.” Rio was his name. On February 5, she also lost Papa, her 14-year-old Pomeranian.

Marcus Twine is working as a III Corps G-6 Sergeant Major in the US Army. He began his job there in February 2020. Before that, Marcus was a Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) at DISA Central Field Command. He held that job from Apr 2018 – Feb 2020.
From May 2017 to April 2018, Marcus was a Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) & Fort Gordon G3/5/7 Sergeant Major in the US Army.
Moreover, During that period, Marcus served “as the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) G3/5/7 Sergeant Major; responsible for all operations, planning and training within the CCoE; responsible for advising, planning and execution of ceremonies, conferences, and allied military visits; coordinates functions and activities with external agencies; responsible for publishing orders and taskings; responsible to synchronize Army institutional training development processes including Programs of Instruction, Course Administration Data, Training Resource Arbitration Panels, and Structure Manning Decision Review boards.”
He was actually sent on his fourth tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2012. According to his LinkedIn profile, once that tour ended, he was serving as a Brigade Operations Sergeant Major at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Later that year, Marcus was appointed Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) at DISA Central Field Command on MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa Bay, Florida.
