Marissa George Age, Job, Ethnicity, Ramses, Love Is Blind

Marissa George, a contestant of ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 7, has turned heads by addressing many topics that are usually very sensitive topics to discuss on a dating show. However, it had to be done and Marissa from Season 7 did it. She discussed political affiliations and religion.

So, let’s get to know her better via the piece below.

Marissa George On Love Is Blind S7

Marissa George hopes to find the “invisible string” that she feels ties her to her future husband by participating in Love Is Blind. “We are still on our individual journeys, but hopefully he’s here,” she explained. Marissa has no regrets about her seven years in the Navy, despite the fact that it didn’t exactly improve her dating life. The thing she is most proud of, she says, was that experience.

The recent law school graduate has since put her studies above almost everything else, and she is now looking to start a new chapter in her life, hopefully with an understanding and wise partner who doesn’t mind that she frequently burps in public. According to Marissa, men have a history of realizing they weren’t ready for a relationship too late. “Men fall in love with my looks and charms, but don’t take the time to really get to know me.”

According to Vulture, contestants on the show are handed “conversational guides” with multiple suggestions, including “how they would tackle conflicting political views.” In Season 7, Love Is Blind decided to share conservative and liberal standpoints and the upcoming presidential election for the first time.

Marissa opened up to Bohdan Olinares, a Ukrainian refugee who served as a Marine, about how differing political stances affected her past relationship.

“I think I told you I dated the Trump supporter for three years,” Marissa told Bohdan. “He was a good person and everything. There’s just a difference in thinking about how our society works.”

Marissa leans toward liberal political stand. She talked to Today regarding not hesitating to bring politics into the conversation. “It’s really important to me that the person that I am with and marry, we align politically,” she told the news outlet. “I know some people like to be apolitical, but I just don’t believe that you should be apolitical. It’s just my opinion.”

Based on her dating history, similar political views, in Marissa’s opinion, are a must for enduring relationships.

Are Marissa George And Ramses From Love Is Blind Still Together?

It is unclear whether Marissa George and Ramses Prashad are still together. It is possible that they are still together and have managed to keep their romance going strong as they were one of the promising couples from this season.

As we previously discussed, Marissa became entangled in the traditional love triangle. She wasn’t so sure, even though Ramses was all in on George right away, informing her in episode two that she had been “his top one for a while now.” She said, partially, “I am connecting with two of you guys.”

The other guy was Bohdan Olinares, an IT sales expert and former Marine. Watching their dates in the pods revealed that Bohdan and Marissa shared a lot of similarities. They were both extroverts, gregarious, and fun-loving veterans of the armed forces. But there were also certain parallels between Bohdan and Ramses. They truly got along, and they had both been married before.

Bohdan adhered to the more “masculine” stereotype, although Ramses acknowledged feeling insecure about being a more sensitive guy overall.

It was time for Marissa to decide by the fourth episode. She ended up breaking up with Bohdan because she followed her heart. “My feelings with Ramses are stronger…and they’re also, like, more romantic,” she said to him. Remarkably (for Love Is Blind, that is), all parties concerned handled the situation with a fair amount of maturity.

Bohdan was cordial, though disappointed, and the two parted ways amicably. Free to date solely, Ramses and Marissa continued to bond. In the fifth episode, he proposed. The two were genuinely ecstatic when they first met in person. “Oh my god, he’s so gorgeous!” Marissa cried out after they first met for the first time.

The couple’s romance heated up in Mexico. Not referring to the weather, but like, considerably hotter. They were infatuated with one another and revealed to the cameras that they had already had multiple sexual encounters soon after coming. The pair appeared to be in total bliss by the time of the cocktail reception. Their obvious spark made everyone seem touched, if not a bit jealous, even as other pod mates remarked that they were amusing since they looked “alike.”

“We’re hot and eccentric,” Marissa told her Ramses.

Marissa George Age

Born in 1992, Marissa George is 32 years old.

Marissa George Religion

Marissa George was likely a Mormon based on a comment she made about religion in the show.

“I don’t hate religion. I guess it sounds like I hate religion,” she admitted in the show. “When God is white in a church and you’re taught white beliefs when it comes to religion, you start to believe a lot of those things. And it’s very much men-centric, especially in the Mormon church.”

Despite her take on religion, she still seems to think well of some churchgoers, though, and she doesn’t appear to harbor any animosity toward individuals who follow god-centered religions.

“Some of the best people I’ve met throughout life, and some of the nicest, have been Mormon people, people in the church,” Marissa told Ramses. “They’re so nice, and they’re so giving. I think it helped me during a really difficult time in life, but I just don’t want that to be a part of us getting married.”

Talking about her own wedding, Marissa expressed her desire for her wedding to be more “spiritual” than religious as she and Ramses talk about how much of a role religion will play in their union. Although she acknowledges that the ceremony is as much for her and Ramses’s loved ones as it is for them, she also wants religion to not be the main focus of the special day.

“I don’t want anyone at the wedding to think that we’re getting married under religious beliefs,” Marissa told Ramses on Love Is Blind.

Ramses agreed that he could minimize the religious aspect of their wedding, but he also says that his mother might object to religion being so disregarded in her son’s wedding. And that might cause problems for Marissa and Ramses before their wedding.

What Is Marissa George Ethnicity?

Marissa George is of mixed ethnicity. Her mother Vanessa Abad is a Latina whereas her dad is likely of African-American descent.

On Mother’s Day 2019, via an IG post, Marissa wished her mom, “To my beautiful mother, thank you for always answering my calls and allowing me to talk about myself for an hour before I ask about how you are doing. I couldn’t go through life without you. ❤️ | Grammu, you will forever hold a very large space in my heart. I love you. Happy Mother’s Day. 😘”

Vanessa worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Womack Army Medical Center.

Additionally, in her family, Marissa has a brother named Quentin. In 2018, on his birthday, Marissa wished her, “Happy Birthday 23rd Birthday Quintanimo! Not a day goes by where I don’t miss you. I’m super proud of the person you have become. Have a great day….don’t drink too many margaritas. 🍹I love you.”

Marissa also has a younger sister named Tea Lynor. She is a writer and filmmaker available on IG as @teatay04.

Marissa George Job

Marissa George graduated from Savannah State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government, per her LinkedIn page. Then, she enlisted as a Naval Officer in the Navy in July 2016. He joined the USS Kidd in December of the same year when her duties included overseeing the executive officers’ administrative office and “developing and executing an extensive shipboard training program.”

Marissa was in the armed forces for eight years. She was raised on bases as a child as well, so she has a strong bond with the US military. She doesn’t regret any of her choices to enlist in the Navy as a result. However, Ramses emphasizes Marissa’s belief that those who make such great sacrifices do so voluntarily and that their efforts are mostly for the benefit of themselves. Marissa, on the other hand, acknowledges that patriarchy still exists to some extent in the military.

Before leaving to serve as a non-medical case manager for the Navy’s wounded warriors in September 2018, she had been in this position for around two years. Before leaving the Navy in August 2021 to start her legal studies at the University of Maryland, George held this role for nearly three years.

Marissa acknowledges that her time in the military is past, but she did once try out for the Army Reserves. She realized it wasn’t for her, though, and said it was too much to return to that life. That is advantageous for her connection with Ramses.

George worked at Jackson Lewis Legal Group for a number of years while attending the University of Maryland, including as a summer associate as a legal clerk. She also served as a student attorney for a low-income taxpayer clinic from the start of 2024 until May, when she received her degree. In August 2024, she started working as a law graduate at Jackson Lewis, where she is still employed today.
