Alicia Rohbock’s two children Ruleecia and Rachel Rohbock appeared on Netflix’s Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. Both daughters explained what happened when their old home was raided by authorities.

Alicia Rohbock was married to Rulon Jeffs, who served as the president and prophet of The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FLDS). She was only 20 years old when she married an 86-year-old who was married 20 times before. Her desire to become a mother and a wife placed her in the same room with Rulon, who offered to marry him.

After Rulon died, she fell in love with LeRoy Jeffs, one of the brothers of Warren Jeffs and sons of Rulon. Alicia claimed that among his multiple wives, he was her favorite. They ended up having two kids from a happy marriage before LeRoy was excommunicated from the FLDS church.

But when the raid happened, Alicia Rohbock was separated from her daughters for almost a year. The children were rehabilitated in temporary shelters set up in Eldorado and San Angelo.

Her daughter RuLeecia recalled: “Well, I remember being inside the shelter. I remember this one time I dropped my doll … and this woman, she had a long ponytail, long black ponytail. She came in and she told us that if we didn’t lay down and go to bed she was going to spank us. That’s what I remember”.

She added, “And I have another memory. We would wake up early. [My sister] and I would and it was like 5 o’clock and we went into the bathroom and it’s a big door that you open. It was one of those big metal doors, and we went into the bathroom and we would wait for each other, and she would hold the door for me when I was going back out. And she slammed the door on my foot … on my big toe, and I had to go get stitches”.

Her kids, along with other kids spent their time in foster homes. Her older daughter RuLeecia explained, “I remember [my biological mother] walking in and I just was like ‘Heck.’ They told me it was my mom and I was like ‘No way’ because I had always thought another … Ester, that was her name … she was my mom. That’s what they told me. But yeah, I remember. She came and gave me a hug and I was just like ‘Who is this woman?”

When she was reunited with her mother, RuLeecia spoke of her experience, “Mom “picked me up and she threw me up in the air … and I was so happy. I was so happy to finally be out of there.”

RuLeecia Rohbock is the oldest child born to Alicia Rohbock and LeRoy Jeffs. Alicia is proud of her daughter.

Alicia features her firstborn on her Instagram and Facebook. On 3 June 2022, Alicia made a congratulatory post on her Facebook. She posted, “Congratulations, RuLeecia You have worked so hard. You deserve everything good that is possible in this world. I’m so very proud of you and love you with all my heart and soul. You are such a precious daughter and friend”.

RuLeecia was 4 years old when the raid in the FLDS church happened. She was in the living room on the day of the raid. She told Salt Lake Tribune, “The day of the raid, I remember being in the living room and the people came knocking on our doors and all of a sudden someone came and picked me up, just this man in black, and he carried me out to a bus and that’s all I really remember.”

Furthermore, she explained: “One memory, I was with my siblings, my brother, and my sister. They were my real cousins, but I was told they were my brother and sister. And we were watching outside. We were told that I think, something bad was going to happen”.

She added, “We were just scared of these people and so we were just watching outside. And we just saw something in the distance, and it was just a helicopter. It wasn’t nothing, but we were really scared for everything”.

In the interview, RuLeecia also shared about the outside world. She told SLT, “We were told that we were the ones that were gonna be lifted up and not to interact with other people”.
