RHOC: Meet Andrew Sundseth, Katie Ginella Ex-Husband
Katie Ginella, who is a mother of four children, shares the older three with her ex-husband Andrew Sundseth. It is not clear when they tied the knots. However, the marriage ended in a messy divorce that also dragged their children into the drama.
Matt and Katie’s firstborn is a daughter named Kaili Sundseth. On Kaili’s 20th birthday in April 2024, Katie wished her daughter, “20 years ago today on my 20th birthday, I gave birth to Kaili. Today we celebrate 20 and 40. Entering new decades with my mini. 🩷.”
Another son, Maxon Sundseth reached 14 in October 2023. Then, their third child is named Gavin Sundseth born in 2006.
In one court document dated 2018, Katie’s ex-husband Andrew failed to promote children’s health and safety. He refused to cooperate and sign the documents required for Kaili to withdraw from school in Georgia and enroll in school in Florida where Katie was living at the time. Before Kaili moved to Florida, Andrew told Kaili that he was throwing away her belongings and that she would never have a room at his house again.
After Kaili moved in with her mom, Andrew put the remainder of Kaili’s belongings in the trash and turned her room into an Xbox room.
According to the court document, Andrew was accused of assaulting his minor son Gavin.
In one article by Matt states that Kaili doesn’t have a relationship with her birth father. “I should note here that Kaili has always called me “Padre.” I believe she’d tell you that’s because, by definition, I’m not her dad. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a relationship with her birth father. But it’s also because I’m a fan of the San Diego Padres,” Matt shared.
However, the two boys have a pleasant relationship with their dad as they appear in family pictures frequently.
Around that time, Katie had already met Matt Ginella in 2014. With just 26 guests, Katie and her husband enjoyed a small wedding. Katie married Matt Ginella, a digital artist, nine years ago. The couple wed in a Missouri wedding with a “rustic” theme. When Katie was thirty, she met Matt.

A little over a year later, I didn’t ask my wife’s father for permission for Katie’s hand in marriage, I asked Kaili. Who, thankfully, gave me the green light,” Matt wrote in one article.
A few years ago, the Bravo rookie appeared on Say Yes to the Dress. Even though Katie was married in 2015, her Say Yes to the Dress episode didn’t show on television until two years later. In a video that she shared, Katie is seen trying on a dress that she really likes, but her buddy says the low cut neckline is what gets to her. “This dress is dreamy,” she exclaimed. Katie ultimately decided to wear an entirely different outfit on her wedding day.
According to Brides, Katie wore Jimmy Choo heels with a satin David Fielden gown when she tied the knot.
Meanwhile, Andrew is married to his wife Olivia Sundseth. They exchanged their wedding vows in August 2020. Talking of Olivia, she is working as a Realtor, Real Estate Consultant at Coldwell Banker Realty – 400 North/Lake Lanier Office.
