Chrisley Knows Best fans since the show’s premiere in 2014 have known Kyle Chrisley as Georgia real estate tycoon Todd Chrisley‘s oldest son with ex-wife Teresa Terry. Kyle is also known as the father of Chloe Chrisley. But, because of due to Kyle’s problems with substance abuse, Chloe was raised by her grandparents Todd and Julie instead. But, in November 2022, her grandparents too were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison. The series was thereafter canceled due to the scandal.

Chrisley Knows Best star Chloe Chrisley was born to Angela Johnson and Kyle Chrisley in November 2012.
On 7 October 2013, the Chrisley family had then filed a legitimate suit against the then 1-year-old Chloe’s mother, who was apparently never mentioned on Chrisley Knows Best.
On 5 December 2022, Kyle Chrisley’s ex Angela told TMZ that she has not filed any legal papers “as of right now” to become Chloe’s guardian again. But then, she also did clarify that she is in the process of it. With tears in her eyes, she explained that she wants her daughter home. She also insisted that she did not walk away from her but was pushed out of Chloe’s life.
Before this Todd and Julie shared custody of Chloe with her mother Angela. Two years later, Chloe’s grandparents had obtained full custody when Angela was arrested for allegedly filing a “false application for Medicaid assistance”. She was arrested in Anderson County, South Carolina on 27 April 2016. Angela had been claiming Chloe as a dependent at the time, but she instead ended up owing Medicaid $20,000.
In that time frame Chloe has been gone, Angela told TMZ that she talking to attorneys and they were trying to figure out which way to go about getting Chloe back home.
However, there was also Savannah Chrisley, Todd and Julie’s daughter claiming to have custody of Chloe and her 16-year-old brother, Grayson. Savannah, the “Unlocked” podcast host herself told this herself to her listeners following her parents’ sentencing for bank fraud and tax evasion.

In a tweet back in July 2015, Angela Johnson wrote that she is getting married. But, she did not seem to have done that. Even until late in 2022, it was not clear if she got married after Kyle.
Back in 2019, Angela was living around Iva, South Carolina, more than two hours drive from the place where her baby father Kyle resided with his family. Chloe was around a year old around this time. Angela made her TV debut in March 2019 and at this point, she also had moved in temporarily with the Chrisley family in Atlanta.
Kyle, at times, has been seen being a doting father to his daughter. However, not much is known about his relationship with his baby mama. Neither of them has revealed how the two met or what their romance was like.
In 2014, Kyle was sought by police in Anderson County South Carolina for allegedly assaulting Angela. This incident where Kyle is accused of striking Angela and threatening her sister with a knife reportedly occurred on 24 February 2013. ‘Kyle’s common law spouse’ is how Angela was referred to in the report and they were apparently living together at the time.
Kyle is often known as the “wildcard” in the Chrisley family. Though back in the day, he also explained that becoming a father helped him to come out of a dark place. That, his daughter helped him get his life into “gear” after spending years of “fooling around.”
