Ashley Pugh and Jay Briscoe exchanged their wedding vows on 31 May 2008. However, there aren’t many details about how and when they met each other. On their 14th anniversary, Ashley posted a series of photographs and wished him, “Happy Anniversary Babe #14years.”

Jay, however, desired that his wife had also written on May 31, 2022, and provided a number of images. He captioned the post, “I’m the luckiest man in the world!!! Happy 14th anniversary Ashley Pugh.”

Jay began his ROH career in 2002 alongside his brother Mark, and he quickly gained popularity with the audience. They joined forces to form the ROH tag team known as The Briscoes, who throughout the years ruled the division and amassed a plethora of championships. They were well known for their high-flying, hard-hitting style and their ability to enthrall spectators in the ring.

Due to a partnership between ROH and NJPW, The Briscoes recently switched to New Japan Pro-Wrestling. They also made appearances in IMPACT Wrestling in 2022 during ROH’s hiatus. When Tony Khan, the president of AEW, owned the Briscoes, they faced off against FTR in a number of prestigious matches. They succeeded in winning their twelfth ROH tag team championship in December.

At the time of his death, Jay was 38 years old.

After his death, Ashley took to her Facebook and wrote, “We need prayers! Gracie is on her way into surgery on her back. Jamin would want the whole world praying for his little girl. WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER!! Pray for the doctors and everyone working on her! Pray for her precious legs to move again! Pray for Jayleigh who has some pretty serious injuries, but is stable and resting! Pray for Gannon waiting at home! Pray for strength for all of us! We have a long long road ahead of us!”
