Dana Gabriel is the proud mother of Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel.

Dana grew up in Beaumont. On her Facebook, Dana stated that she hailed from Vidor, Texas. Dana always supported R’Bonney’s pageantry career through and through.

In June 2022, Dana announced, “Hello friends and family! My daughter, R’Bonney, will be competing in the Miss Texas USA pageant on July 1-2 at the Hilton Post Oak Hotel in Houston. The final is on July 2nd at 8:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Monday, June 6 at 12:00 p.m. We hope to see you there so we can gather a good crowd for the final to cheer her on! In September 2021, Dana posted, “This last Saturday, R’Bonney placed 1st runner up in the Miss Texas USA pageant. We’re so proud of her.”

Dana previously graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in fashion design. She now works as a designer creating eco-friendly clothing, and as a model. Her hobbies include vintage thrift shopping, doing yoga, sketching, and hula hooping.

In addition to pageantry, R’Bonney is currently employed as a model and designer. The University of North Texas awarded her a BFA in fashion/apparel design with a fibers minor in 2018.

Dana has an older son named Brett Gabriel who she gave birth to in February 2022. He is 30 (in Jan. 2023). He works at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop which he joined in 2016. He also worked at Trek Bicycle Dallas Park Cities for two years from 2014 to 2016.

Brett graduated from the University of North Texas after completing his high school education at Lawrence E. Elkins High School.
