Meet Ketajh Brown, Ketanji Brown Jackson Brother
During the Confirmation Hearing on Federal Appointments before the Committee of the Judiciary United States Senate, Ketanji Jackson had stated that Ketajh Brown was a member of the Maryland Army National Guard who served in Iraq and who graduated from officer candidate school.
In 2017, during the 35th Edith House Lecture, Ketanji Brown had mentioned having a brother who was 9 years younger than her. Ketajh and Ketanji were born to their parents Ellery and Johnny Brown. Before retiring their mother worked as a principal at New World School of the Arts. Whereas, their father served as became the chief attorney for the Miami-Dade County School Board.
According to Lawyers.com, their father attended North Carolina Central University and graduated in 1968. Johnny then moved to Miami and attended the University of Miami. He graduated after securing his J.D. in 1977. His area of practice was real estate, corporate law, school law, administrative law, and financial law among others.
Coming to his sister, Ketanji is married to Patrick Graves Jackson. Patrick’s brother William Jackson is married to Dana Little Jackson (@dana.l.jackson.12), sister of Janna Ryan the wife of former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. Together Williams Jackson and Danna Little Jackson share three kids — William Covington “Cov” Jackson, Jr., Amelia Prudence “Ellie” Jackson, and Zachary Gardner Jackson.

As stated earlier, Ketajh is 9 years younger than her sister Ketanji. So, he is 43 years old as of February 2022.
Ketajh Brown Job
Ketajh Brown started his career by joining the military. He joined the United States Army in September 2006 and served as infantryman/infantry officer till September 2013. He served two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Northern Iraq.
During this period, he also worked for Federal Public Defender as an investigator from November 2008 to September 2013.
From September 2013 to June 2016, his LinkedIn shared nothing about his career. After quitting the army, he enrolled in university to earn his JD.
Then after securing his JD, in June 2016, Ketajh joined the U.S. Courts of Appeals as Judicial Staff Attorney where he worked full-time but for only seven months. From January 2018 to September 2021, he worked for Husch Blackwell as a commercial litigation associate.
In January 2018, Huch Blackwell wrote an article welcoming Ketajh as an associate to the firm’s St. Louis office. He had joined joins the firm’s commercial litigation practice after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge David R. Herndon of the United States District Court–Southern District of Illinois and as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Then, he ranked up and started working in the new role of Senior Commercial Litigation Associate till November 2021.
From November 2021, Ketajh has been working with K&L Gates as Commercial Litigation Associate.

A man in his 40s, Ketajh Brown could be married as of 2022. But, like all of the members of the Brown clan, he also hides away from the public attention. Hence, the fact of him not being on social media makes it even harder to gather information related to his wedding and wife.
But, during the Confirmation Hearing on Federal Appointments, Ketanji also introduced her family to the committee and Ketajh’s girlfriend Olga Butler was also present at the time. She spoke, ”
“I would also like to introduce my parents, Johnny and Ellery Brown, who have come here from Miami, Florida, to support me. My parents-in-law, Gardner and Pamela Jackson, have come here from Boston, Massachusetts. My brother, Second Lieutenant Ketajh Brown, who is a member of the Maryland Army National Guard, who served in Iraq and who graduated from officer candidate school 2 weeks ago; his supportive girlfriend, Olga Butler; and, my wonderful brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dana and William Jackson.”
But, whether they ever got married or not, couldn’t be confirmed because of the lack of their presence on social media.

Ketajh Brown attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and earned his Juris Doctorate, and graduated in 2016. He had earned his undergraduate degree from Howard University in History.
In the summer of 2015, Ketajh, as a student, presented an oral argument before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, an experience he says most people find hard to understand.
He was one of the six law students who spent their academic year learning how to build an appeal through UW Law School’s Federal Appeals Project. He appeared before the 7th Circuit on behalf of a client who wanted to challenge his criminal conviction, based on a change in the law.
Ketajh also shared that the casework and the coursework, along with his participation in UW Law School’s moot court last year, taught him that he enjoys appellate litigation, and he especially likes looking for mistakes in the application of the law.
