Jeffrey “JV” Vandergrift had been missing for a week when his wife Natasha Yi said that he “will not be coming back” in a heartbreaking statement.

Natasha Yi and Jeffrey “JV” Vandergrift tied the knot back in 2006, after three years of dating. The duo had a Mayan wedding in Mexico. Fast forward to another 11 years of togetherness, the lovebirds then renewed their vows in 2017.
The couple was happy. They loved making videos together and co-hosting The JV Show. After Valentines Day 2020, Jeffrey even took to his IG to post boast his gift for his wife. “This is me holding the blanket I made Natasha for Valentine’s Day,” he wrote.
Sadly, after 2021, Jeffrey developed a mysterious brain issue. “The stuff I’ve been going through in my brain that they’re trying to figure out. Ugh,” he said. As per his doctors, something may have “reignited” his old infections. “The body and the pain and all that stuff, I can handle. What it’s doing to my brain I could never describe to you,” the radio host added.
Later, as his symptoms worsened, the doctors finally diagnosed him with Lyme disease.
Then, suddenly in March 2023, Jeffrey went missing. A week later, Natasha then shared an update to Bay Area’s Wild 94.9’s Instagram. “The amount of compassion for the physical torture JV has been going through for the past 2 years has been overwhelming. I have been in so much pain and fear and I know all of you have been so scared and concerned for JV as well,” she wrote.
After letting her fans know that they’ve always considered them a part of their family, Natasha then revealed, “I want to let you know that personal information has recently been discovered that leads us to believe JV will not be coming back.”
However, despite the alarming new information, the San Francisco Police Department still considered Jeffrey to be missing.

Natasha Yi and Jeffrey have no kids. However, they did have two goddaughters named Belle and Staci — who were often featured on Jeffrey’s IG.
“We love our lil girls very much!! It was a great Christmas party at Mom’s House,” once wrote on his IG.
Besides their two godchildren, Jeffrey was also close to Natasha’s dad. The radio once even took his father-in-law to the SF Giants game on his birthday in 2019 (i.e. on July 21).
Sadly, Jeffrey lost his dad in October 2018. His dad was a Marine who received military honors from U.S.M.C. “Thank you Dad for being our Teacher, Protector, Provider & now Angel,” Jeffrey also paid him a tribute on his IG.
Trivia: Natasha’s goddaughter Staci received her communion in May 2021.
