Wendy Rush is the wife of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush with whom he shares two children Ben Rush and Quincy Rush. Stockton who was an aerospace engineer for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation at the Edwards Air Force Base in California tied the knot with Wendy in July 1986 at the Vail (Colo.) Chapel in Colorado.
Wendy Rush has a job at OceanGate Inc. as director of communications. She is also a member of the group’s tracking and messaging staff.
Wendy joined OceanGate in June 2021, and she also works for the nonprofit arm of the business. Wendy led the OceanGate Foundation as president from 2017 to October 2021. She is 61 years of age.
Stockton and four other passengers (billionaire Hamish Harding, businessman Shahzada Dawood and his teenage son Suleman, and French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet) vanished on June 18, 2023, after a submersible from his business went missing during an expedition to the Titanic debris.
At the time, an Oceangate spokesperson said in a statement: “For some time, we have been unable to establish communications with one of our submersible exploration vehicles which is currently visiting the wreck site of the Titanic. We pray for the safe return of the crew and passengers, and we will provide updates as they are available.”
