Romuald Guiot was one of the Spring Baking Champion season 8 competitors. He consistently amused viewers with his incredibly inventive creations and was able to reach the finale after plating up an extravagant chocolate cardamom sauerkraut cake with a pallet knife decoration — which received high praises from Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman, and the other judges.
However, as he faced Jaleesa Mason and Yohan Lee in the finale ep, Romuald walked off from the set after learning about one of the challenges which asked them to improvise a creation containing sprinkles.
This certainly raised a lot of questions and moreover with Romuald remaining silent about the matter, fans started speciating that chef might have felt that the show was rigged against him. A Redditor mentioned that the challenge was “below his skill level and expertise.”

Looking back, Romuald shared that the show definitely was a wonderful opportunity. However, it was “a lot of pressure actually.”
