Ryan Geraghty, the ex of “Real House Wives of Orange County” star Elizabeth Lyn Vargas, was arrested and has been charged with multiple felonies after he shut himself inside the reality star’s home. Assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, felon in possession of a firearm, and extortion were the charges according to the press release by the Newport Beach Police Department.
Page Six reported that Ryan presented himself in court on 3 February 2022. Before that, he was kept in custody. The outlet also revealed that Elizabeth called 911 after Ryan locked himself inside her home after allegedly extorting her for months.
An insider close to Elizabeth revealed to the outlet, She called the police [Tuesday], so police start monitoring the house, and he shows up. He runs into the house, holds her hostage, has a gun. When [police] realized he pulled a gun out, they raided.”
Newport Police Department confirmed the outlet in the press release, “Once inside the residence, police officers encountered an armed male suspect who was actively threatening the life of the victim. Officers took immediate action and placed the suspect into custody.” Moreover, police also evacuated the surrounding place in response to the situation at Elizabeth’s home.
Later, they confirmed there were no “further threats to the community.”
After the incident, Elizabeth’s manager shared with Page Six, “She’s shaken up and had an extremely traumatic experience.” He continued, “Fortunately, the Newport Police Department saved her and she’s doing well.” She was unhurt and is yet to address the incident.
